5 years with Macs never a single hardware issue, serious or not. 5 different Macs, all 5 still working.
I've never NOT had a serious hardware issue with my Macs, does that count?
iBook '02: display replaced with a whole line of dead pixels; CD drive replaced, and actually upgraded in the process;
iBook '03: logic board failed 3 times, covered by extension programme;
PowerBook '05: logic board failed twice, hard drive failed once;
MacBook Pro '08: logic board failed once, so far, known issue, will fail again.
Just to even things up a bit, it's horrible reading about all you lucky people.

Thanks for the support. I'll just let you all know the next Apple thing I buy and you'll know to avoid it. I have thought about asking them to give me the second one in the pile, not the top, or whatever, but I've never actually been in a situation where it's buying off the shelf.
^^^^^ So who had the avatar first, you or srl7741?
Most of those people are happily using their MBPs and never frequent a forum like this at all
