Ok...What's the deal with the ipod Touch Rebate?

Well it was Tax Free weekend and I bought it from the Campus bookstore.

I'm just going to return the ipod. I'm still within the 14 day return for the computer also, what's the restocking fee if i've already taken it out of the box?

Also, if i just returned everything and bought it online. I would have to pay tax which is a lot. (the reason i waited until tax free weekend)

Tax free holiday works for Apple.com online orders. Place your oder and it will show normal tax, but it will be removed again when they actually process the order. I got an email from Apple to that effect.

They have gotten better environmentally, but they aren't saving the world. The process you describe I believe was the method two-ish years ago.

They're better than other manufacturers' rebates. It's still the process in the US and Europe and what I did to get a $229 check sitting in my mailbox right now.
