I’m facing the same thing. Probably gonna switch back to the 5.8” size tbh

I love having both as well. While there is some overlap in functionality between the two they both excel at things that are very different to each other.

Some like the single "do it all" device while others will have multiple devices that excel in their purpose. I would be in the latter group. Like why would I ever enjoy video/content on a 6.5" display with a notch instead of a 10.5" display if I had the choice? The difference between a 5.8" and 6.5" display isn't enough to change that experience.
All of this, but I’d like to also add that I like being able to come home, plug my phone in, and use my iPad while my phone charges and stays charged, so it’s always topped off when I’m ready to go out. If I only had my phone, I’d be tethered to a wall to ensure it stays charged.

I used to say the exact same thing before I got gifted a new iPad mini. The thought that there was no space between the phone and laptop, and desktop on top of that, ran for quite some time. I actually intended to sell it but decided to mess around with it a bit given it did come to me free of charge and it was the perfect opportunity to see if I'd actually use one… aaaaand 4 tablets later.
That was me when the iPad first came out. I mocked everything about it, including the name and the fact that it was just a big iPod touch. But I just happened to go to Best Buy on the original iPad’s launch day for something. They didn’t have it, so I decided to look around the store and wound up playing with an iPad. 30 minutes later I walked out of the store with one and I’ve owned an iPad ever since.

I found that buying a phone that gave me a 1.5-2 day runtime (while an essential device I'm not a heavy phone user by any stretch of the imagination) changed everything for me. These days I get a bit of juice here and bit of juice there through the day and I'm always good. While I typically charge through the evening (I only sometimes charge overnight) just through my morning routine and shower time I can get enough to cover most if not all the day.

Being constantly tethered to the wall socket blows chunks!

What I’m reading here, is that Foldables have a market & will attract many if done right.

I find this pretty cool too but I’m not sure how successful the technology will become in the short term.

The smaller phones are easier to carry and handle. However I know I prefer a bigger phone. I switched from the 7 plus to the X and was miserable for the whole year. I was happy to upgrade to the Xs max.

This was largely what I was like...not miserable, but I always felt like I was missing "something".
I loved being able to pocket the X a lot easier, but the larger screen is great for my commute etc.
