Hello
I would like to buy a 27'' 4K display for my Mac Pro (early 2009 quad-Core 2.93/ 5,1/ ATI Radeon HD 5770).
I don't see any recent thread on this subject so I have 2 questions:
- I probably should change my graphic card so which one should I choose at a decent price to run the monitor at 60 hz?
- Which display would you buy (also at a decent price)?
- I already have an ASUS PA 279Q (2K) that I would like to keep (dual with my new 4k display).
Thanks for your help

Depends on what you want to do with it...my GTX680 drove my Dell 27" 4k display pretty much just fine, it was the 4gb model so that probably helps a bit depending on what you do. I use a GTX1080 now.

The display itself has been great, picture quality is excellent. Everything around the panel is a little cheap, which is to be expected considering it was less than $450, but the panel itself is great.

Hello h9826790
Sorry, effectively there are a couple of threads that I initially thought were old (and some are...).
I don't want a 5k by the way.
Hello Derived
I won't use the display for gaming, more for working on pics with photoshop and watching some movies.

Depending on budget and graphical requirements, I can highly recommend a Radeon RX 560 2Gb (or 4Gb) for OOTB compatibility. For a monitor, the Dell P2715Q is great - just make sure you test for light bleeding and uniformity issues (very common with Dell / BenQ monitors or anything under the benchmark EIZO / NEC)
