The M2 MacBook Air has a 13.6” screen. I don’t think Apple is going to go back to 13.3” anytime soon. So just another poorly informed rumor.
Maybe Apple's going to keep the 13.3" MacBook Pro in their line up a while longer. Touch Bar lovers rejoice! You'll be the first to get an OLED display (to match your OLED Touch Bar) 🤣

What happened to the previous “Apple’s OLED screens will be super expensive and significantly increase the price” fear mongering. No mention of it here. Or do we think that the MBPs will have inferior screens compared to the iPads. LOL

Is OLED now as color accurate as LCD? I mean it's easier to get accurate whites with a white backlight, rather than mixing it from red, green and blue which are always slightly imperfect. I know OLED gives better contrast but it always seemed to me that LCD gave more natural colors and smooth color gradients. Though there are professional OLED reference monitors, just not many.

Will Apple use Samsung's QD-Oled technology, as found in the S95b and S95c?

The first results of the latest RTings long term burn in tests don't look too promising for the new QD-OLED panels. So perhaps be careful what you wish for...

QD-OLED has to drive all three color (RGB) pixels to create white, whereas WOLED has a dedicated white OLED in addition to three color filters to turn white into RGB. So for tests like RTings, where they run a white news ticker for hours at a time, that means all of the QD-OLED's pixels need to be driven 100% of the time whereas the white OLED in the WOLED is the only one that needs to be driven. So speculation is that this is why QD-OLEDs are showing greater burn-in and wear in those types of tests.

As the article suggests, Apple will be sourcing WOLEDs from LG so that will likely help a bit on it's own, plus the technologies Apple and LG will be implementing to help mitigate image retention and burn-in.

OLED=PWM=Say goodbye to your health. Many people will say "this will only affect a small percentage of people". Just millions of people.

yes!!

a 15" OLED Air is the perfect device. i know this is just saying 13.3" but if the 15" rumors are true it will come to that too at some point.

you'll be stuck buying cheap/entry level Apple products. OLED is going to be on iPads and Macs soon enough. you must be in the minority because OLED is everywhere. it's quite difficult to buy any modern phone without OLED lol.

OLED is the best display tech out. You'll be waiting a LONG time for MicroLED iPhones.
In term of comfort of vision, LCD is much better than OLED. The PWN issue when you scroll is so apparent and disturbing that it’s unwatchable. I’ve kept my Xr for this reason. The screen is far superior.
However with 120Hz displays this might not be the case anymore but I haven’t tried.
