Mine isn't scratched, but it is wearing off especially in the middle where I scroll up and down and across the bottom where I slide my finger to unlock.

I think Apple will not have any problems exchanging these since it is happening under normal use and the coating is wearing off just with skin contact.

It is noticeable under the sun or certain lights inside. I only noticed it first in my car then at work.

this is why im keeping my plastic on the front of the phone until I get my protectors in the mail

WOW really?! That sucks!

I hope apple doesn't add this type of screen to the new iPhones next year! I never really had a problem with smudges or fingerprints on the screen in the first place so I see no rel need for it...

It is a TOUCH screen! So you are going to get finger prints. But I can't even see them myself unless the screen is off, so who cares...

Trust me, I am not happy. I would rather have the same screen as on the two previous phones then one that has a coating that rubs off or scratches off easily. I don't care about fingerprints either, they rub off and the screen shines again. With this rubbing off, under certain lights, it makes the ecreen look cloudy. It's extremely noticeable under the right lights and on a black background.

Are you sure it is wearing off? The reason I ask is because I have noticed that occasionally, under certain lighting conditions, my screen can have a "milky" appearance. A wipe over with a soft cloth (ideally the type used for cleaning spectacle/camera lenses) will remove it.

Hope this helps.

Yes, it's wearing off. I have tried to polish the screen over and over with a polishing cloth for eyeglasses. Nothing works. The coating is coming off.

And we'll all assume that your polishing cloth has no chemicals or polishing agents embedded in it??

Something safe for glass may not be safe for the coated glass.
