People in these comments section need to understand that filmmaking isn’t just only about the camera. Apple simply shows that an iPhone is sufficient enough to replace a filming camera. It’s also a lot more affordable than a real professional rig. Filming budget can vary. Apple just want to inspire people to make more film from their iPhone, not just stupid TikTok. But ironically maybe Apple just want to advertise that the new iPhone can shoot best looking TikTok video

I love when people say this isn't as good as professional cameras typically used for productions. Well yeah, now look at the price difference of one of those and a phone.

This video is just to show how good of a video you can get from the phone, it is not trying to say that it as good as those high-end professional cameras.

Reminds me of Console vs PC wars where the PC guys will come in and say "My rig would stomp your PS5". No crap buddy, my PS5 was 500 bucks and your rig was $3,000. It'd be weird if it wasn't better.

Oh well, far from my cup of tea… this is all subjective, of course:

While it’s great that the iPhone gets to do what it does at this level of production (that short film of the Nacho Wrestlers was quite something already, with the 14 Pro) it’s really annoying (to me) that they always choose the famous face of the day, from memory: U2, Taylor Swift, top rapper of the month A, rapper of the month B, Kardashians, Billie mumbling, now this Olivia gal (she does look inoffensive enough, she “just wants revenge” but also “get him back” at the same time)… with usually the most empty shells of music and songs. Some of them even condescending environmentalists voices while they travel on their private jets.

So much for a company that revels itself into being all about “diversity”.

But hey, that’s just me, I truly don’t care who the kicky-ball player of the month is or sticky-stick batter of the year or the singers in love with their own voices are, to be enticed to run to the nearest store to pay $100 for a jersey to carry the names of others on my back or them be the reason for choosing my handheld device.

Would be great to know how effective these marketing stunts are though… guessing “a lot” because they do it over and over again paying billions for the association perk.
As for me, it just makes me rant like a mad man in a public forum.

(yes, I’m no fun at parties)

Yeah, why doesn’t Apple ever collaborate with real musicians like Roy Donk, or Marcus Hicks?
