I believe she will be doing a lot of charity work in the future and may travel a lot. She has high interest in this kind of work and I can see that she's starting to do it. Plus she doesn't have a laptop. She has bought one for her brother for him to bring to university but not for herself.

So my purchase is not based on my relationship with her. Is for the greater good. But I can easily save another £300 to buy a PC laptop... I guess I want her to have the best...but refurbished... :D

Great, then you can keep the mac and buy her that £300 PC laptop :p

get the white one if you want her back. once you go black.....

lol...we got back together...

and I haven't give her the MacBook yet...as I am doing some checking and installing applications for her. she really doesn't know i bought her a MacBook.

However, she did give me a Nintendo DS Lite..hmmm

overall i am quite happy with the Black one but don't really like the color :(. its a hassle to change to a white one and she got me a black Nintendo DS Lite..what a coincidence...

Am I the only one that gets this reaction from reading this thread?

Since you aren't keeping the black macbook anyway, why even bother with changing the color? She may love the black one and it's not like you'll be using it anyway.

"OMG...I just bought a black macbook...should i change to the white one? quick help!"

aye aye captain!

Amen. Buying your ex an expensive gift, or any gift, with the exception perhaps of a roll of packing tape, makes you an insta-chump.
It's almost as bad as starting a thread title with "OMG".

There are some many things wrong on so many levels here, I don't even know where to start. But I'm pretty sure that thing they did in the middle ages to relieve headaches where they drilled a hole in your skull is probably not the best method for performing a frontal lobotomy on oneself.
