I was walking downtown in London Ontario and then this man came up to me in black clothes(i was talking on my iPhone) and he showed me a knife and demanded the phone..i gave the phone to him (i didnt want to be killed)

omg i was so scared

but lukily this lady nearby got a picture of the car the man ran into

i called the police and they came..

i just want my baby back!

omg i thought i was going to do cause this iPhone!

Don't the iPhones have some sort of security thing where they can track the phone? or did I dream that?

Glad your ok though, I'm sure it was a scary experience. Just be thankful you got away unharmed. :)

That really sucks. I think people who mug/commit other crimes a 68516 or higher should be burned at the stake.

May you get it back promptly. Good luck.

You can replace the phone, but not your life so don't think about the phone too much!

There will be newer version coming soon!

Did the picture that the lady took include the license plate of the car?

What did the police say?

Hope everything turns out well

Sorry to make a joke out a bad situation, but by any chance were you using the "Taxi" web app at the time?? :p

anyways... sorry to hear. at least you didnt get killed!! Here in milwaukee a man (a miller brewing company executive) was recently held up for his wallet. after handing over his wallet he was shot 3 times and died on the scene. be happy your still alive.

mil-town represent!
but yea, that was really messed up, especially since our crime rates are pretty decent.
to the OP good luck getting your baby back

Hopefully you'll see your "baby" again soon. They need to put sensors in them that shock other people who try to use them. If they did that, I'd buy 2.

That really sucks man. Sorry to hear that. If you bought it with your credit card, can you claim insurance?

I'm never using my phone in public again. Ever. This is the second thread on one page about stolen iPhones. At least mine is in a dark blue case, and might be mistaken for something else.

they cant i already tried once its gone its gone i know since my was stolen from me last week :( *crying in the inside

AT&T can't and won't do anything for you (just reiterating what this poster said).

That sucks :( Hopefully you were somehow covered, although I don't see that unless you specifically bought insurance for the device.

thank God you weren't carrying a Macbook Air...

an that you're still alive. sorry to hear about it. go buy yourself a new one - you'll feel happier

I'm extremely curious as to what you said to the person who you were on the phone to? Did you say "i've got to go" and then hang up, did you even hang up? I'd love to know.

wow, simply wow. Actually, I kind of want to know too

To the OP, I am really sorry that happened to you. Someone stole my *new* ipod 5.5G right when they came out, right at school during my soccer practice. Nothing like being mugged, but nonetheless horrible. I hope you get it back man!

It's kind of like what would happen in Curb Your Enthusiasm if you watch it. Larry David just got a wiz bang phone, someone is about to tell him something really important over the phone and he gets mugged. He tells the mugger to just wait a minute, this is a really important call. haha. I love it. But, no, what did you say to the person on the phone if anything???
