It is not true that all iPhones have yellow screens. I have compared my old iPhone 4 to my brother's and friends' and theirs was much cooler in color compared to mine. I returned it and my current iphone4 screen is awesome. The colors doesn't look washed out.

Did you compare with another iPhone4 ?

Do you have nay pictures to show us the comparison? You would certainly be the first.

All YouTube videos, pictures of iPhone4 alongside iPhone 3GS show the i4 slightly warmer.

Speaking as a photographer, the iPhone 4 is far FAR better calibrated colour-wise than previous models.

The 3GS has a horribly cold blue glow to the screen, whilst the iPhone 4's screen looks as it should. Whites are white, not blue.

My 3GS had a nasty yellow hue to it. Nowhere near accurate. My iPhone 4 on the other hand has a much nicer color to it. Big improvement in my opinion.

Do you have an iPhone 4?

If so, what is the screen tint like?

Thanks

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

My wife and I both have an iPhone 4. My phone have a yellow hue while hers has the more white blue hue. I will go to the Apple store and see what they say about the difference (I do find my wife's phone much clearer when compared together).

Here are the two iPhones side by side to see the difference. Yellow tinted iPhone 4 is on the left and the whiter iPhone 4 is on the right.

You are right. and I went back and changed it in the org. post.

Can you perhaps give us the facotry and week number for production of the two phones?

There might be a relationship.

Also, were the two phones both pre-order ones?

Cheers,

Wow, mines is the exact opposite. My 3G is a slightly warm (yellowish) white, while my iPhone 4 has a cooler (bluer) white. I didn't even notice my 3G was warm until i had something to compare it to.

Personally I somewhat prefer the warm colors to the cool colors of the iPhone 4 though. Though both look very good.

iP4 vs 3GS

Took a pic of my new iphone 4 in comparison to the old iphone.
Pics were taken at 50% brightness and at 100%.
I have yet to compare mine to another iphone 4 to see if mine is warmer than the rest.

Settle down spanky.

The screen resolutions look identical in the photos. Now compare them to the photo of the 3G posted higher up. You can def tell when you're looking at a 4 or not.

I agree, they both look like i4's to me.

Also the poster was kind enough to get us images AND factory details.

Cool guy, not a liar.

I'm wondering though, whether one with a cool display was a 16GB version. I've heard that shops are displaying 16GB versions and they have cool displays.

I wonder if there is any 32GB that breaks the rule.

i have attaced the pics of my iphone 4.

i took them with my samsung galaxy spica phone. so i am sorry if they are bad quality .

for some reason. the screens shows her are little more "blue" than when you see it in real life. specially were it says " brightness"

i compared my phone with another friend of mine iphone 4. and we have the same color.
