Autumn Day, iPhone Xs, Auto no edit!

Some very awesome photos in this thread, it’s amazing how far cameras on our phones have come, I have been a mobile device nerd for 20 years or so and watched them go from a standard talk/text phone to colour screen, low res cams, touch screen etc, what we have now really is a power house all in one device, technology at its finest.

Keep those awesome photos coming.

Adam.

Very awesome photos.

Adam.

These are phenomenal photos. Lots due to your post processing skills. Good job.

Thanks! I really should post them somewhere - I pretty much have a graveyard of shots like this all throughout my camera roll. I said it in another topic here today, but I really believe the iPhone as a camera is better suited to simulating fun disposable camera-like film shots than it is to try and be super crisp and clean like a DSLR/mirrorless. I've got an A7rIII, A7sII, Fuji XPro2, and a Panasonic GH5 if I want crisp and clean and have the time to shoot that way.

I shoot a lot of casual stuff on 35mm film via disposable cameras and little point and shoots like the Nikon 35Ti and the original Olympus XA, and this feels like an extension of that. The resolution and the dynamic range are right at that sweet spot where you can make really nice analog-looking stuff like these shots.

Here's a few more that didn't make the initial post:

Gawd...if you ate here, those would all be made from wheat flour, hold the sugar.

School cafeterias have gone downhill.

I know what you mean. Don’t know how they allow such type of food in schools. Cafeterias in schools should be regulated more strictly. Remember watching a BBC documentary on it.

This is why I love the XS camera. The ability to take a portrait shot with an inanimate object and get the wonderful Bokeh. Took this photo this morning walking around the MN Landscape Arboretum. Always looking to make new iPhone wallpapers for fall.

That’s what I love so much about the advancement of cameras in phones. The ability to just pull out your phone and take these awesome photos.
