Excuse me for taking the easy way and just posting the first image I came upon in this very page of the thread and not posting one of my own. Full credit to the user that took this photo and I hope he doesnt mind me posting it.

This picture is an example of the results I am getting myself. Just zoom the photo and look at the hill in the background. There is an overall oil painting gritty look when zooming.

Is there a third party app that can improve the situation and have more clarity when zooming in?

It's a phone..and what do you expect when the focus is on the car in the first place

Well yes, no need to be rude, the thing is there are a lot of pictures here posted by 3rd party apps that dont exhibit this issue. And all I asked is what 3rd party app I can choose to shoot pics and be able to mitigate this effect...

Saw these two guys talking about text messages on their flip phones...

Well noticed, I didn’t notice that at all.

It’s because is way overprocessed (overcooked). Jpg’s (I’m assuming you’re post processing the jpg and not shooting raw), have only 8 bits of depth and you can’t cook them much without producing all sorts of nasty artifacts (banding, ringing, halos, posterizing, color shifting, etc). I’ve noticed some of yours appear massively overprocessed with weird color shifts and such (teal colored skies, super saturated colors, etc).

:)
