Found this feature in iOS4. When you press the sleep/wake button on the top right, the screen turns off!

Yes, but as stated, previously you HAD to turn it on yourself in the options, whereas now with the iPhone 4 / iOS 4 it's on by default. So that's why people are like omgtehcapz!
