Thanks, I hope so too. Putting aside the seriousness of an actual diagnosis of OCD, this in and of itself has nothing to do with OCD and I think it's hilarious how some people dismiss this as somehow being my problem without even seeing the issue. No previous Apple products I've owned have had this issue and, as a matter of principle, I think it's ridiculous that I fork over this amount of money for a product whose primary function - a screen - is defective. For the poster above who asked what I do when I buy a car or house, this would be akin to buying a car with a steering wheel that shakes a ton when it gets to 60mph or buying a house with a leak in the master bedroom ceiling. Not a HUGE problem but that crap better get fixed before I take possession.

Why exchange 7 times? Because I fail to believe that all screens display this issue. And because I actually want an Air. But I'm close to just giving up on the Air and moving on.
The mini wasn't used for work and, in any case, the screen on the mini I have is perfectly uniform. Other than the resolution, it's a fine display. I suspect the issue has to do with the technology in the retina displays, as clearly I'm not the only one who notices the problem and there have been similar problems with the iPad 3, iPad 4 and the MacBook Pros. Just do a search.
