I still would like to see Apple surprise us on the Sept 7th event with some iPhones 14's switching to USB-C connector as the final iPad makes lighting connector obsolete as its charging/data connectivity. Sure there would still be lightning accessories/power adapters for years, but its time IMHO.
If they did this then I wouldnt hesitate to get it.

Well as large as those phones were back then, your are still holding one in your hands predominantly which suggests Apple might direct their designs for phones to be wearable and flexible in the future. Biggest sales pitch would be pitching phones as hands free finally and less distracting to use at work and home.

I wouldn't be shocked if a satellite connectivity Apple Watch that supports calling and texting is that distant.
Perhaps by then, bio-technology will have created a surgical solution to remote communications. ;)

Sorry but the way this site (and the Apple community) went wild right around the release of the 13 series for that “iPhone 4” flush camera design runoff for the 14 series by Jon Prosser was SO idiotic. Anyone who has followed Apple long enough would’ve known this was BS right away, especially when the rumor came from Jon Prosser of all people, and a year in advance. I’m still bewildered so many people seemed to believe it for months.
But it was so pretty!

I wish we had gotten the Titanium Frame for the Pro models. If Apple is going to charge consumers high prices they need to make sure to use high-level material atleast, design wise. It's only fair.
I had really hoped for the titanium. I would pay a premium for that as I really have a problem with the polished steel.

Maybe Apple will lose another pro sale again from me. They probably dont care though, as they seem to be selling plenty pro phones with look at me finger print magnet sides.

Reeeally looking forward to the end of the constant rumor round-ups and seeing the real thing.
Based on previous years, the round up rumours will be very accurate, so not that much to look forward to anymore [unless you are really excited about the rumours....]

WAIT?! No USB-C? On any models? WTF Apple. I thought EU regulators were mandating this. No way I upgrade to a 14 without this.

And whatever happened to the satellite rumors? I would love to stop paying Garmin $25/month for a Garmin Inreach for the few weeks a year when I'm out of range

Waiting for them to launch the iPhone 14 and the rumours about it disappear, and the really interesting stuff starts, the rumours about the iPhone 15 🤔
Right, it’s really annoying how those pesky product launches always disrupt the flow of rumors. Maybe Apple could introduce a rumor subscription and drop the launches, that would be so much better. 🤠

As someone that’s been traveling recently…under display Touch ID or even in the power button is the one I lament the most.

That would prompt me to trade my 13 Pro…trivial as USB-C may be. It’s so long overdue.

To be fair, some here would be disappointed or at least say they are no matter what was announced. It is just part of their schtick.
Well, count me in on that shtick, then. I haven’t been not disappointed since… hmm… the Apple Watch reveal was pretty awesome. The iPhone 11 at $699 (after the XR was $749) was pretty awesome.

I’ve been disappointed (or bored) for most of the keynotes I can remember, and it’s usually surrounding price (Not interested in macs or iPads, though the power button touchID was actually a really cool surprise! Which I wish would make it’s way to an iPhone.)

Though, also to be fair, knowing all the rumors does set one up for disappointment… and if rumors come true they are expected and not appreciated.

Apple’s inability to really wow and amaze for the last few years is hard, too, and it’s probably because there’s no showman (Jobs) at the helm to lead the live keynotes and really sell people on the products. iPhone through the 5 was a really fun, exciting time that the keynotes really delighted. (Did Jobs show off the 5s?)

If the larger sensor rumor pans outs I'll be interested in those details.
