One thing this thread may throw up is that one country's one-hit wonder is another country's successful artist. I think I'm right in saying that groups like Frankie Goes To Hollywood and Boney M are considered one-hitters in the States, but over here they both had a string of hit singles. With that in mind, it'll be interesting to see some of the songs that get mentioned here.

For me though, the one that immediately springs to mind is There She Goes by The La's.

Here's a list of Hip Hop one hit wonders. At least in the U.S.

1. Camp Lo - Luchini a.k.a This is it
2. Skee Lo- I wish
3. Digable Planets- Cool like that
4. Lords of the Underground- Chief Rocka
5. Non Chalant- 5 o'clock
6. Cheap Skates- I forgot the song name
7. Canibus- 3rd Round Knockout (somewhat arguable)
8. Ini Kamoze - Hot stepper (somewhat hip hop)

...and so many more

How the hell can you call canibus a one hit wonder, I suggest you look at his toher stuff with ll cool j busta rhymes and his song beasts from the east with the lost boyz.

I am gonna go with I get knocked down by Chumbawamba

Yeah but that isn't as cringeworthy as most one hit numbers.

"Shaddup with Your Face" came in at number 33

The trailers for what's coming up include Crazy Frog - might be time to head to bed then. So far I own 2 of the top 50 - both on compilations and with a one star rating in iTunes  and if your suggestion makes it in, twil be 3 (although at least one would have a decent rating!)

Ah, so we mean 'top' as in most cringeworthy. Got it. In that case, if it's alright with everyone I'll withdraw my There She Goes and raise you Save Your Love by Renee and Renato. :D

Ack... that was number 49!

I'm not sure what they're classing as the top 50! They seem to be finding a lot more in the songs that I ever did! It's more worrying when they're interviewing artists that still think it was a great thing like the guy who did the 'Stutter Rap' and is very proud of the 'Chaka Khan' line :p

I've also learned that Chesney Hawkes is still on the college gig scene and making a living at it!

Easy Bruh, becuase that was the only song Canibus had on heavy rotation. Yeah, I saw a video for "I honor you" once or twice, but no hit there.

Canibus is a sick dude, one of my favorite lyricists of all time and if I were controlling radio stations acrossed the U.S., I would've blessed the masses with his grace.

That's not the case though, and that is why his "One Hit Wonderness" is arguable.

Ah... I remember that. Morris Minor and the Majors, was it? It was banned at our school for fear of offending anyone who had a stutter – an odd decision, seeing as no one actually had one...

Two off the top of my head...

Buggles: Video killed the Radio Star
Wild Cherry: Play that Funky Music

And, My fault. That is 2nd round knockout, not 3rd. He did L.L. in 2 rounds.

I'm making a late entry with Seven Tears are Flowing to The River although I have no idea who it was by...

This is a very scary show - I'm going to go to bed with my iPod last night in case I wake up with any of the one hit wonders running through my head

Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler can be considered a one hit wonder

Number 13 :D Alarmingly I saw the real Weather Girls singing this at a halftime show at an American football game in Germany

That's an alarmingly large bosom, for sure.
