One used more glue than the other? Look fwd to results. If you're holding them both at the same time, one in each hand, your hands may be deceiving you. As in one arm may be stronger than the other or what not.

Have you tried switching them in the other hands? It may have something to do with the slight variance in muscular strength of your hands as well. Totally serious, it's worth checking .

My wife and I both have matte black 128GB Verizon sevens. I picked up her phone last night after having just put mine down and noticed hers was noticeably lighter. She thought I was being an OCD freak, as I tend to be, but when I had her compare she noticed it too.

Unfortunately I don't have a kitchen scale that can accurately measure grams to confirm my suspicions. Wondering if anyone else has noticed this and what could cause these variations?

Weigh them at a post office, that will definitely tell you how much extra postage you will need when you ship the heavier one to me. :)

A jet black does weigh more. I tested it on a digital scale, about 2% heavier.

Well the results are in and apparently there is something in our water as you all suspected. After several rounds of weigh-ins:

Weight of my iPhone is 136.5 g

Hers is 137.2 g

So, yeah, mine actually weighs .7 g less but I'm telling you it feels heavier! Objective measurements be damned!

What if you do a few blind tests where someone changes things up and places the phones in your hands and you see if one feels heavier and if it's consistently the same one. Just out of curiosity.

Slightly differing amounts of adhesive makes the difference?
That includes solder.
Maybe.

Technically one can weigh more than the other. Data does have a weight to it. So if your 128GB phone has more data on it then your wife's 128GB phone. Then yes, your's would technically weigh more than hers. You can't feel the difference, it's absolutely miniscule. http://www.cultofmac.com/299069/ipad-filled-apps-weighs-one-nothing-installed/

Go up to your OP. Click the cog and change the thread's prefix to "Resolved." Otherwise idiotic responses will continue to accumulate for a question that's already been answered since posting before reading the thread is the MRF way.
