"Shrinking" follows a grieving therapist (Jason Segel) who starts to be unconventionally candid with his clients. Harrison Ford plays Segel's mentor, Dr. Paul Rhoades, and other cast members include Christa Miller and Jessica Williams.

Guest stars in the third season will include Cobie Smulders, Michael J. Fox, Jeff Daniels, Brett Goldstein, and others, according to Apple.

The first episode of "Shrinking" season three will be out tonight, and one new episode will follow every Tuesday at 9 p.m. Eastern Time through April 7.

The fourth season does not have a release date yet.

"Shrinking" is one of the most popular shows on the Apple TV streaming service, and it has received multiple Emmy Award nominations.

Fantastic show. It somehow ended up being my favorite so far. I like Silo, Severance, Lasso, and Slow Horses a bunch - but this show puts a smile on my face

Not once have I heard of it. The premise is interesting however. If done properly it might be fun nay interesting.

Truth be told though, I've been burnt with ATV so many times that I've stopped trying. They have this fascination for extreme slowness and visual masturbation that I just can't withstand
This is surprising for me to hear. ATV is about the only streaming service I trust for decent content. It’s not ALL great obviously, but enough bangers that they’ve won my subscription money. The only other service in the same ballpark is HBO.

I mean I imagine the patience towards the "slowness" and their tendency to stretch the story thin, is probably idiosyncratic. Personally their shows bore me senseless.

For context foundation is one of my favorite series of books ever . But the TV series felt painful.

Same for silo/wool, I loved the books, but from what I gather thr first 2 seasons barely contain the first book. That's 18 hours of TV.

And it's not even that big a book, just 500 pages and a little more than 100k words I believe.

Pacing is atrocious

With that said their dedication to sci fi shows is unparalleled

I tried to read “Wool” but just couldn’t get through it, it was so dark, depressing & dystopian. But I’ve enjoyed watching both seasons of Silo. I read “the Foundation series” of books long ago but I’m really enjoying the Apple TV version of it as well. Obviously they are very different interpretations but I like how inventive the universe is portrayed in the Apple TV series of it. 👍🏻

Totally unwatchable. Annoying and hateable characters. Tries to mix comedy and drama while being neither funny nor suspenseful. Self-conciously diverse casting. I've come to loathe Apple TV "prestige slop" - checking enough critical boxes to be considered a "good show" while being utterly mediocre.
That's a bit Harsh.

I’ve really enjoyed Silo and Foundation both on ATV. I listened to the audiobook series Silo is based on and didn’t enjoy it much, but that may have been the narrator. I’ve never read Foundation.

Not that it matters, but unless I’m misremembering the stores, Wool was broken into two seasons. They finished the first book by the end of season 2. It is slow at times, but slowness doesn’t bother me if it’s done properly. For example Invasion was too slow and was painful when watching week to week (when I rewatched in preparation of the final season I felt like binge watching largely cured the pacing issue).

Totally get not being into that pace, though.

I watched five minutes and skipped it. Tons of other good shows on ATV, but that one didn't do it for me.

For All Mankind. Can't wait for next season. And Tehran, Hijack, Severance, Pluribus... Lots of stuff I like.
I don't watch the series either, but 5-minutes is all you gave it before moving on? Wow. Now I'm curious.

I didn't watch it. is the show not as dark?
