Hey, don't use command -z, click on history and Reopen all windows from last session. Even if it crashes, everything is restored. Unless you set your preferences to erase the history whenever you close safari...

Sorry but I have to reply to this one, and then it's best that this topic stops as the answers to the question are: saft and forgetmenot (free) plugins (or Safari 3 beta but that didn't work out of the box with me).

Using command-z is a lot faster than going to history and reopen all windows, I know that if i close a tab I can search history as well but just using a shortcut is much better.

I'll have to try that one myself in future. The simple answers are always the best!

In the time it takes to tell someone to do a google search, you could have simply answered the damn question if you know it. if you dont know the answer, why are you even responding?
its exhausting reading through thread after thread of people asking for help, only to get told to buzz off and search google, or my personal favorite, "durrrr, use the search function".

Well in the time you spent exhaustively reading through this thread you would have found the answer on google thus proving me right :)

EDIT: Then again wouldn't it be smart for the original poster to edit his post with the answers he got so people reading this thread could get the answers in the first post. Just shows the laziness inherent in asking these questions rather than googling!

I am chilled. I just detest laziness.

I'll gladly help anyone out who has a question or problem that a SIMPLE google seach cannot answer.

It's nice to know a person at least tries to find an answer rather than expecting other people to give up their time to find them the answer while they go play games (or something).

I think its actually easier to search google than to post on a forum, which would make the OP the opposite of lazy no?:p

I am very, very sad that this is still one of the top hits for "Safari undo close tab". It's now 2008, and the problem if anything is worse--now Saft is the only working plug-in to undo a closed tab (Yes, this is after exhaustive googling).

Any thoughts? Rants? Old wounds broken open?
