I concur with your entire post! The wireless charging is a nice feature, it is a convenient place to park the phone and pick up a few joules! Now I rarely go below 80%, but then again I am retired. If I had an office job, I would get another one for there and park the phone on it. No hassle with cords.

Yup, I've done that already. 🙂

These two posts just goes to show you the contradictions how everybody will have different battery life experiences.Battery life is highly subjective, depending on Settings, applications, usage and over all how much their phone is used throughout the day.
I guess the near best (yet still rough) battery gauge is to gather a few before/after results, of how peoples mobile use habits affected battery life on a prior device compared to the X.

We don't even need to know how they used the device - maybe just a light/medium/heavy indicator.

If enough people provided their (consistent) stats on their X's battery % at a certain time of the afternoon, compared to an earlier device, we may have some idea of where it sits on the battery performance scale.

The size is perfect for pant and short pocket with the large perfect screen size and iPhone plus power (RAM and battery). I chose the plus from 6, 6s to 7s because of more RAM, screen size and power. However, plus is too bulky for front pant pocket and too big for shirt pocket. I never put my phone on back pant pocket as it is not comfortable and could forget to take it out when sitting down.

I plan to keep this phone for a while unless the 512 GB size comes. X plus type might be considered if it comes with 512 GB. Otherwise, the phone is good for a while.

The X Plus will have you frustrated with pocketing the device again though?

But I get the appeal of such a massive screen on a device....may be too hard to resist eh.😀

(note:Wireless in a way, makes fast charging less important, which is a win/win). I have a cheap low power wireless charger, that actually does the trick quite well, and isn't all that slow...just a heads up for those who may think the need a fast charge.

Indeed. With the wireless charger on my desk, my phone is getting passively charged much more frequently.

I still have a fast charger if I ever need it, but I find myself rarely using it.
