As people above have stated, it's not convenient for people to bring their spouses to sign up for a phone. I thought AT&T limited it to 3 per person last year?

Good. I'm glad that they are doing one per person, because last time people bought two so they could sell one on ebay for 300+ more money. Stop being greedy, if they have a limited amount and everyone gets two, there will be not as many for other people to buy. Just wait a day or 2 to buy a second one.
Last year at my AT&T store people were camping out. I am not going to spend more than about an hour in line. If need be I'll wait a few days to get mine. Do you think the local AT&T stores will get larger initial quantities than they did with the 1st IPhone? Do you think Apple stores will have larger quantities?
I doubt that will be the practice. They'd be morons to do so.
I'm getting a family plan and two phones. It doesn't make any sense. They can't sell a plan for two people and not sell you both phones to complete the transaction. They're going to hold the transaction half way through and make you stand in line again? Not likely.
Ok now the is dumb...
On the AT&T iReady chart, it says ONE per person in line! For those that are trying to buy 2 phones, then I guess you have to wait in line twice?
