FWIW, our Elago 4/4S cases are fantastic. They're the Slide vs. Slimfit (so wrap-around for front protection), but vs. other brands, they add very little bulk. Also have the swappable chins, so you can mix and match colors.

If this new product is remotely as good as our cases, it's another winner.

Got mine today and was a little disappointed. It looks feels nice but is noticeably heavier than the Ringke Slim by .3 ounces. Camera cutout is also a little larger.

Well, yeah...it has a metal plate on the back. What did you expect? And 0.3 ounces? That's not exactly going to start sagging your pants. It's still lighter with the case on than any previous iPhone is bare. (my scale puts it at 132g with the case on).

Guess it's not for me. The aluminum back didn't impress as much as I thought it would.

Glad you like it...

"Noticeably heavier" and ".3 ounces" do not belong in the same sentence unless you are a drug/gold dealer.

LOL, I really like this one.

He better come back and tell us he is going to return it because of the 0.3 ounces. lol...

Yup, not as nice as I thought it would be. I'm picky. :| Sticking with the Ringke.

Which color other then white would get the least amount finger prints?

just got mine the other day. i like it so far, but i wish the case was more like the S5 Slim. those are harder plastic.

So has anybody found a way to get the white lettering off the back? I would order it if it wasn't for that. The elago in the bottom corner doesn't look bad but I don't think I could stand the white lettering.

Acetone likely

Do you have the s5 slim? If so, how do they compare? I ask because I had the s4 and it had a nice curves to it that gave a good in hand feel. Also quite slim. My cousin got the s5 and it is pretty much the same. The outfit doesn't look exactly the same from the pictures but I'm wondering how similar they are because I prefer the looks of the outfit.

the outfit is thinner and a softer polycarbonate than the Slim. it would offer less drop protection. its got a softer "rubbery" plastic feel with an aluminum insert. i own both for my 5, and i like them both. but im currently using the outfit.

Would the softer plastic actually cushion the impact better? How is the durability of the case?

no, by softer i meant texture. the polycarbonate of the Slim S5 is a hard shell and is a little thicker. ive seen the S4 take a pretty good beating before showing signs of chipping/denting/cracking. the S5 is the same thing. the Outfit is thinner, and less stiff as the S5. if you want more drop protection, you need an Otterbox Commuter. but if you want an Elago, i think the S5 with its thicker harder shell will protect better than the Outfit. The Outfit is a great softer shell that feels better in hand and will offer decent protection from back scuffs and scratches, but i feel it will have minimal to no protection from a drop. i would feel much more comfortable dropping my phone with an S5 on, and i actually did a few times when i had my S4 on my iphone 4 with no issues. i bought the Outfit for its minimal feeling, and minor scratch protection....not to protect it from drops.

on a side note, my wife has an iphone 4 in an S4 Slim. shes dropped it dozens of times and the S4 is nicked and dented very bad, but not cracked. she finally dropped it, spiderwebbing the screen. but it took alot of drops to finally do so. after getting her a new phone, i switched her to an Otterbox Commuter for more protection. the S4 will hold up, but eventually give way. the Outfit wouldnt have protected it this much for that long.

Ah, I actually though the outfit was thicker from pictures and descriptions. Does the outfit have lay on the table design? The S4 didn't but I noticed the S5 is slightly raised which is nice.

It has a very slight lip so you would be able to put it face down on a smooth surface

barely. i wont do it because it only leaves maybe 1mm of clearance. its nothing like an otterbox commuter. if the surface youre laying it on is uneven or has crumbs or something on it, it may touch.
