Check out this review and tell me what you think. Seems like apples magnets are not that great. Also the product red on the non pro is not even red
Seems charging at 15W would be worth the purchase...I couldn't care about what the margin is.Apple just trickling in their technology (before portless iPhones) so they can sell very high margin accessories. Like LIDAR, does anyone need magsafe yet?
I saw this earlier. I just disagree with Marcus with relation to the wallet. I have the MagSafe already and tried it out with the case and it holds really strong. I see what he’s saying but there is always a chance that I miss my pocket when putting my wallet away. I think its an edge case. YMMV.Check out this review and tell me what you think. Way better video about Magsafe, magnets definitely seem good and strong enough for tripods/car mounts/etc... Only thing that seems stupid to me personally is the wallet although I'm sure someone will find it useful in some way.
I agree the wallet is a horrible idea if you're planning on putting your phone in your pocket. I think it's more made for people who throw their phone in their purse or something like that.MKBHD had a segment in his video where the wallet came off just by sliding the phone into his pocket. Strikes me as a horrible idea.
And from his demo, he explicitly stated (I think) that the magnets did not seem strong enough for a car mount. A tripod would work though.
In strength. I just wanted feedback to see what your views were. ultimately if the magnets bring your phone quicker to the correct placement so you never have to worry about your phone missing the charge then It Has accomplished its mission. Also the 15w over the 7.5 Qi charging doesn’t hurt eitherNot that great in what sense? The strength? Or the quality of the actual MagSafe charger?
MagSafe is the solution for a problem that Apple engineers are currently cooking (the port-less iPhone, they will be skipping USB-C altogether).

At this point, why not just plug it in with the actual cable. This is what I don't understand. One review mentioned how you could still use the phone when connected, such as being able to hold it up. This is versus the normal charging picks that don’t allow that kind of use.
I've been using cellphones since 1999 and haven't lost a single one. What's the next non-issue you wanna throw out as a problem?A Wallet on your phone. So if you lose one you lose both. What a great idea /s
