The electricity dinosaur example is actually pretty bad as an explanation.

Can you really not think what message to send when you can’t make it to concert? You need a bot to think a response for you?

That's not the use case here. The use case is that you could perfectly make it, however you hate the idea of going there with Anna, but you don’t want to tell her that, and don't know how to decline nicely in that situation.
