Pro max is the best but dude iphone 11 is the best vfm iphone.

The upgrade from X to XS seemed minimal to me.

I noticed a huge difference in battery life and photos when I upgraded from XS to 11 Pro.

This is the thing. The Battery Life upgrade is like none I have ever seen before. Moving from my Galaxy Note8 to the Huawei Mate 20 Pro in late 2018 was a great jump in battery life but going from my XS Max to 11 Pro Max was a huge leap!

Take this long weekend for example, I simply cannot kill this thing within a day, I wake up at between 8-10am, take it off charge and begin my Social Media binging (Instagram Live video discussions, Facebook browsing, Twitter and LinkedIn), I also do a whole lot of Web Browsing in Safari, listen to some music via BT earphones from my phone on Apple Music, use Tapatalk to browse some forums,I’ve got work emails syncing, personal emails syncing, Microsoft Teams going having chats with team mates there, WhatsApp always going etc.... I got to bed at like 2am and I still have about 50% or just less on iOS 13.4.1, it is absolutely insane!

It’s 19:45 here and I am on 65%, I took it off charge at 9:54am, I will not need to charge this phone until sometime later tomorrow.

The Wide Angle Lens camera and Night Mode are also such a big plus, this camera is the most versatile Apple us ever had on an iPhone, I definitely missed having a Wide Angle lens when I had the XS Max.

Could not agree more. I am continually amazed at how much better this phone is with battery life than the ones I've had previously.

My wife loves her 11 Pro, and my son loves his 11. I still have the XSM — which is fine.

I’ll probably skip the 12 and upgrade to the 12s/13 once Apple gets their custom 5G antenna right (or caves and switches back to Qualcomm’s)

I don’t see what the fuss is about reiterating our love for the iPhone pros.
There’s always new (sometimes small) features/things why I love it than my old/regular(11) iPhone.
Still use my old 6s+ for music on the go, and while reading through threads on here I forget/neglect the bottom half of my pro max because used to having the physical button/big boarder on bottom.
I have had my pro max since last month of December and can’t praise it enough.

Good thread, helpful. I have a 11 pro on order. The price hike was worth it because my #1 factor is size, I want a smaller phone. I had an XR.. too big (for me). Plan to keep this a couple years as the 12 lineup looks meh, and 5G won’t work in rural areas for a while regardless of what phone you have.

I feel like the iPhone 11 Pro has some decent pros to it, but it would be wise to hold off on it. Sure, the A13 processor is great, the extra battery life over the X/XS helps, the cameras are nice, and it will see a lot of support.

However, the allure of an OLED iPhone is going to diminish in a few months when the iPhone 12 arrives. If the $650 USD price is correct, you can get a 5g iPhone w/ likely faster FaceID, an OLED screen, a nicer form factor, and a number of other features without having to pay that $1000 USD price point.

I was going to hold off until the 12 Pro Max, but then with what’s going on it would be an even longer wait as there are rumors that it won’t be released until Oct/Nov or even later with the pandemic (and since Apple can’t really go to China to review the product before production begins). I decided to splurge and go for the 11 Pro Max. Makes no difference if 5G is available on the new phone, not like we’re going to be using much of it for the next couple of years anyway. The 11 Pro (Max) works great now and will work even great for the next few years. There is ALWAYS going to be a new phone out with new technology. Not everyone is going to want to wait for that and that’s okay because the current line up is great technology and is not going to be outdated just because the 12 will be out. Get the phone when you need it or wait if you want to. There’s no rule saying that because it’s 2020 and a new phone will come out that you shouldn’t buy the current line up. I’m glad I went with the 11 Pro Max instead of waiting for the 12 Pro Max. Was worth it and I’ll most likely get a new phone in 2021 or 2022, depending on what I feel like doing.

I had the same justification in my mind. Was going to wait for the 12, but with possible delays till October/Nov or later, and the fact that the 12 series will be the first Iphone series with 5g, possibly 120HZ and a new design, it seemed to make more sense to get one of the 11 series which are proven phones with no bugs or glaring issues. Can always upgrade in 2021. But I understand anyone who would rather wait when its half way through the cycle.

Exactly my point. I thought long and hard and realized I’d rather get the 11 Pro Max now since there is going to be a longer wait for the new pros. Besides, it’s going to be a new design. I might as well wait until 2021 or 2022. There will always be a new phone released and I am really happy with my 11 Pro Max
