You live close to where they are shipping it. Fedex Ground will not be 1 day to most. Nice though!!! Congrats.

iPads themselves will almost certainly ship from China and take 2-3 days to arrive after shipping.

I'm all the way in Florida and it's coming from California so it must be overnight

didnt get that far, tracking number on apple site says shipped upsh, it has a 1Z tracking number, but it is not working on ups site yet
 
Got the confirmation that my grey smart cover shipped which is fantastic but now will the iPad ship?! I want that white 16 gig wifi to get here ASAP ugh. At least I ordered at like 4:05 eastern so it said 3-5 days. I'd be furious with 2-3 weeks but apparently ppl are buying these up
 
When it comes to ipad 3G and the iphone, I wonder if Apple is waiting for Sprint to buy T-mobile before adding another US carrier?

As long as your order has not reached the being prepared for shipment stage you can cancel.

You can always just return it by sending it back to them unopened and get your money back if you can not cancel it in time.
 
I placed the order and got 3-5 shipment dates. I verify this information in orders status page as well.

But, I don't received any email at all after I place the order. Shouldn't I be getting one? Or I will only get the email once the item is shipped?

You should have received a confirmation email. Can you go to the Apple Store online and verify your order? You have your order # i hope?

I am in the same boat. I have order number in my apple account but no email confirmation.
 
just pulled the trigger on a black 32gb 3G version.... from macmall. not sure when it ships, the guy mentioned something about getting a shipment tomorrow. i am in no rush, and wanted to save $50+ in taxes since i live in CA... but had it shipped to my work in NV.

i am excited to do some fun programming for this sucker, with the camera and GPS! :)
 
no email confirmation, but order is in account status/order status online, rec'd email that one of the cases shipped already, the rest of the stuff is 3-5 days for the 2 ipads, 1-2 days for the other cover and the HDMI adapter, and 4/1 shipment for the ipad2 dock.

i am expecting changes in order status later today/tonight, i would not be surprised to see shipment on the 3-5 day stuff...but i can wait until next week for delivery i think.

I got the order # and be able to see my order online. But no confirmation after 10 hours since I placed the order. Should I be worry? Or this is normal ?
 
So the head of our IT group where I work said he was allowed to pre-order 2 iPads using the business account which allows him to bypass the line but he would have to wait until 7pm but the units would definitely be held.

If true - I have no reason to believe he is lying - I am almost positive that a few hours after launch there will probably be plenty of inventory.
 
I just called Apple to ask about when my iPad will ship, and I ordered it at 12:42 PST which was ahead of the scheduled 1 am time and she kept telling me that I ordered it later than everyone.

Did anyone get a 24 hour notice for their iPad to ship? She made it seem like I ordered it way late and thats why its 3-5 days...I don't think she knew what she was talking about...

I have "Not yet shipped" and I ordered at 12:44am PST. I doubt they will ship out today.

That just doesn't sound right. I ordered my 2 iPad 2s at 2:50 CST and it said 3-5 days. I never personally saw anything before that.
 
Free and Fast

It's free but not fast. Ordered at 3:45 am Eastern time.

I'm flying half way across the country next Sunday 3/20. With my iPad showing an estimated delivery of 3/18 - 3/25 I have to say that I am mega sad :( and mega :confused: I typically love Mac products and service but this puts a bad taste in my mouth.


Fast and free means delivery by next Friday for IMO (if not by Thursday). Not a delivery window starting next Friday!

(I honestly thought they would just be padding the dates but now I'm not so sure the more I read. They may actually mean delivery between 18-25).
I guess I should just chill and wait to see if anything changes.
 
I just got my ticket at BB. Looks like I will be returning the one I ordered from apple.
