Forgot to add, it was Friday the 14th when I ordered mine and it was the 64gb in black

Lurker here but now posting.

Ordered mine on 14th at 10am on Orange.co.uk, 32GB at £36per month. Got order confirmation and money taken from account. Order status still says "Order Being Readied For Dispatch". Expected it wouldn't come today but still is disappointing. I'm wondering if I should cancel and return my phone but at least I am waiting for EE who could be better (but could be the same or worse!)
 
Still being readied for dispatch

Ordered last Friday at 1.59pm. Plenty of people seem to have taken delivery already, but I have nothing. Have phoned Orange three times:

1. At about 8.55am. Guy told me he needed to speak to a different department which didn't open until 9am. Impressively he called me back ten minutes later, but said the order tracking system was down so he couldn't tell me anything (sounded like an excuse). He said he'd call me back 2-3 hours later, but didn't. Less impressive.

2. At about 12.30pm. Woman put me on hold and after 5 minutes I was disconnected.

3. At about 12.40pm. Put on hold and disconnected but had given my number so got called back. The woman then said she spoke to someone in the "delivery department" and gave me the usual nonsense about 30 days. I complained and asked if I could speak to the delivery department. No. Since I didn't believe much of what was going on, I asked if she could tell me what I had ordered (64GB black). No, she said, I cannot see that information. Suggests to me they have zero information. I asked to speak to her superior. Was put on hold. Was disconnected after 5 minutes.

Left me feeling cross and frustrated.

I used to be with Vodafone. Entirely different experience.
 
Ordered on the 14th at 12noon didn't hear anything until this morning and now I'm replying to this thread from my iPhone 5
 
I upgraded at about 8:15 on Friday 14th on the website, credit card was billed on the 14th so I now have to pay for it. All I've been told is I did my upgrade on the 19th ( erm no... ) and that I'll get it in the next 30 days. Not happy, not at not getting the phone today as I never expect to actually get things on time. I am angry about Orange completely screwing up the Pre-Orders. Searching the web it sounds like if you ordered before about 9:30-10am on the 14th, then the website didn't process it, but they did take your money. Then they manually entered the upgrades between the 18th and 19th which is why we got no email or text confirmation. So I've been upgraded onto the new tariff, and charged for a phone, but nothing to show for it other than a bigger monthly bill.

Just to add to the insult I just got a text from Orange while I was typing this

"Just to let you know we haven't forgotten about your new phone. We'll be in touch soon to let you know when it's on the way. Thanks for your patience."

I'm thinking of phoning back on Monday and cancelling my Pre-order, might be quicker to wait until the Apple store have stock than wait for Orange.

We have set an account up in your name and completed the credit check and pleased to say you have been accepted subject to the below requirement being fulfilled.

Before we can proceed our credit referrals department are requesting a dated proof of address. Any of the following will be acceptable:
Utility bill - e.g. Water, Gas (excluding British Gas), Electricity, BT/Cable landline Telephone (Showing Telephony) - dated within the last 3 months

Bank/Building society Statement (Showing Transactions) - again must be dated within the last 3 months.

Unbelievable. They wait until it's too late to email me this. They also say they can only receive via fax. Fortunately I have a fax compatible printer but I'm pretty sure lots of people don't. I just hope Orange have my phone on hold and are not going to get one when they get my proof letter. Don't want to wait 2 weeks especially as I pre-ordered from the start.

Edit: they say to call from 9am to 7pm Mon to Fri to fax. Been trying since 6.30pm and no answer, looks like they left early so I have to wait till Monday so probably no phone till end of the week. Rubbish

I want the readied for dispatch status to change dammit!!

Although I did phone orange who said that the earliest expected delivery date will be tues (25th sept) hoping this will be untrue and come earlier then this.

Just spoken to Orange CS (again). Guy at least had the decency to call me back rather than leaving me on hold and disconnecting me. Gave me the usual 30 day line, but admitted that was a holding response. He predicted (very confidently) that I would get a text within the next 2-3 days from UK mail saying delivery is on the way. When I pushed, he shifted to 3-4 days, but was even more confident.

I explained that I had ordered at 2pm on the 14th and that people who had ordered on the 17th had already received their phones. He said they must be upgrades (I'm a new "customer") and was very surprised when I said they weren't. He said he would speak to his supervisor "so that that never happens again". Who knows if he will or not.

I am not at all confident of receiving my phone any time soon - but at least I have confirmation that the order is properly registered with Orange.
 
Still nothing for me. 8:15am pre-order on the 14th and still no text to say it's on the way. I keep thinking I should phone up and cancel but then I can't be bothered today to sit in a queue.

Annoyingly I went past 2 Orange stores this weekend and went in to check, both had phones in stock to walk away with. And yet a pre-order customer is still waiting. hmmm thanks orange.
 
Anyone else having much luck?

I pre-ordered first thing on the 15th - Saturday around 9am but haven't heard anything. I rang up on the 21st to change my order from black to white but still no further information. Every time speak to them they don't know stock levels and give the generic 30 days. Poor service seeing as every other company has given a lot more information

Seriously tempting to just cancel the pre-order and go to town and get one
 
I've cancelled my order. CS was awful they didn't help at all so I've ordered my phone off t-mobile instead which actually proves to be a better deal as I get unlimited data compared to 1gb cap from Orange for the same price.
Orange is ****, just hope EE isn't the same however I won't be switching over ASAP. I'll wait for reviews this time
 
Pre-ordered on Saturday 15th @ 9am and got my text this morning to say its out for delivery :)

Bad news is no one home til about 2pm :(

Stuck with them as they have "usually" been good on the customer service front and I get good signal at home and at work with them plus the chance of 4G at some point.

They have been awful with this pre-ordering though
