Delivery attempted. :(

Out all next week, so will have to try and collect from the depot - which appears to be a three hour round trip unless they leave it somewhere more local?!

Well mine is all set up and working nicely. Just swopped bands to put on a classic buckle. Will keep the Milanese for evenings out.
Will sell my sport tomorrow.
Next stop will be September and the new iPhone.....then the new Ipad in November...then Apple Watch 2 next year.....never ending loop

I don't think they will accept pick up from anywhere except their depot. Can you get a neighbour to sign for you or redirect it to wherever you are going

It's currently sat in Poland, but still saying it will be delivered by Monday, does that seem realistic?

Same, our watches are together! Ha. And I think Monday is entirely realistic. I think UPS still ship stuff through their network over a weekend so two days is plenty of time.

You're right about not being able to get it re-delivered to a local "pick-up point". Local depot is a 3 hour round trip (with an 7 year old autistic boy in the back - not going to happen). Managed to arrange re-delivery for Monday at work.

Have fun all you who got yours today :)

I wasn't sure if they still processed over the weekend as I know they don't deliver. Glad they do though! There was a dicey moment when my watch was waiting to be cleared but fingers crossed it all goes smoothly now :)

Same! I was disappointed that it only started moving on Friday, even though it was despatched on the Wednesday (and scheduled to be delivered on Friday). But hey ho, it'll make it even more worthwhile when it finally arrives.

Just arrived in Germany by the looks of it! Roll on Monday :)

Anyone here ever redirected a UPS delivery?

Missed delivery of Friday, so arranged for it to go to my work address.

Tracking has been on "As requested, the delivery change was completed. / The address has been corrected. The delivery has been rescheduled." since Saturday morning.

When I called earlier today, they don't have any additional information. Should I be seeing an "out for delivery" or is "Scheduled delivery information is not available at this time. Please check back later." usual after a re-schedule?

Well it looks like the transfer from Luton depot to Feltnam depot is taking time - longer in-fact than from China to the UK!

I'm told now delivery should be tomorrow.

Well, I'm clearly the last one in the UK to get one!

Arrived today. It's great :)

Enjoy! On day 5 here and whilst the novelty has worn off, the utility is high. Discreetly checking & responding to notifications whilst in meetings and driving is great, context aware responses to texts (message: chicken or sausages for tea? reply options: chicken, sausages, both (!) etc) is seriously useful. And getting activity prompts -You've been sat for too long, get up and walk around :). No regrets whatsoever about buying one each for Mrs & I.

Hi guys,

Thought I'd add o the thread. I gotta say I wasn't impressed when I saw the announcement made of the Apple Watch but now I'm warming to the idea of having one. In fact I couldn't get one in my local store so I ordered one online this evening. If one comes in before I get this one I'll cancel it. I thought 2 weeks wasn't that bad. Just in time for my birthday lol. I went for the 42mm SG Sport which is the one i could afford,

Let the wait commence.

Paul

I work in a petrol station and have spotted three customers wearing an Apple Watch now (they all look like Sport Editions in 38mm) and the more I see them, the more I'd like one.

Time to start saving, haha.

When people have asked, I've taken to describing mine as like a pair of jeans. You can read the reviews, look at the pictures and YouTube videos - it's a completely different matter when you try one on. At least if you don't get an in-store one before the postal one arrived, you've got distance selling on your side and can try it out for a day or two before returning.

The watch isn't the second coming of the iPhone but it does have it's conveniences and unique uses.

I’ve had mine over a month now, Blue Sport 42mm, I got black sport band, and Milanese loop.
I ordered at 4 mins past the opening time
Its nice to wear, but its only for seconds, not for prolonged usage, it’s a very expensive notification device for me, but it’s great that I don’t have to take my iphone out of the pocket every time it vibrates or rings etc, i can unlock my Mac, remote control Apple TV
Gen 2 & 3 will be better, but why wait, go have some fun, or go and save up

After only a couple of days usage I'm really liking the Watch.

I'm using it 90% as a watch and for that purpose alone it is cheaper than the watch it has replaced.

Liking notifications, and looking forward to improved apps once OS 2.0 comes along.
