Loving the new 14" MBP! Had a 13" MBA M1 and a 15" MBP before that! Keyboard is solid, screen is incredible, notch is barely even noticeable to me already. I love having the ports back, especially MagSafe. Highly recommend 14"/16" MBP's to anyone that is on the fence.
How's the battery life been for you?

So far so good, its draining a bit faster than the 13" MBA M1 but that is expected. Not draining THAT much faster though. M1 Pro is super efficient, so when you're emailing/web browsing, its going to be solid. If you are doing highly intensive tasks I'm sure it will drain a bit more, but you're getting more power at the same time so it makes sense.

The battery life on the M1 MBP is really incredible. I split my time between my iPad Pro and M1 MBP and I literally have not charged my MBP for almost four days.
Not trying to be snarky... honest question... why does it matter to you that you haven't charged for 4 days? It doesn't seem difficult or objectionable to me to plug in my MBP at night before I go to bed. It seems like there's a strange premium placed on extreme battery life. Once you get to "all day use", what is the value beyond that (other than fewer cycles and thus extended life of the battery)?

No worries. It gives me comfort knowing that I have a lot of battery on tap. I've traveled and commuted with this and it's been great not having to bring a charger making the M1 MBP that much more portable. I also think battery degradation will take a much longer time however I like to upgrade my MBPs every other year but for those who hold onto it long-term, that's a nice feature.
