Ordered From Apple Online How long to Ship??

Finally got my phone and plugged into iTunes. Got through activation great until the end. Got the "may take up to 48 hours" message.
 
@ arykmax: that sucks...seriously. at least you get the gift card, right?

Given the Apple retail stores generally have solid stock levels (according to Apple's website and Macrumors homepage), is it fair to assume that the stock levels are also good at the magical place iphones ordered online come from?
 
Here's a question for those who've already received their phones: were you told in the order acknowledgment email from apple that it would take 5-7 days to ship?

I took the old SIM out of my 3G in the meantime. When this SIM deactivates, I'll just put the new one in. I'll be testing out the new camera this weekend at the Oklahoma aquarium. I hope to have some good pictures to post next week.
 
The wait

I ordered mine on the 24th... And it has been
on "not yet shipped" since I ordered it. Apple contends
that the order will be shipped on Monday or
Or no later than Tuesday. It's been so hectic to get
my hands on one of these darn 3G S! Seems like
I'm never going to see one...At any rate, as long as
they choose to use FedEx with mine I'll be ok. I've had
the worst expierence with UPS. At any rate, it seems like
someone told customer service to be extra unhelpful
once the 3G S orders starting coming in.

I'm hoping that on Monday it will stop saying
not yet shipped. I'm so sick of these three words.

I ordered Mine on the 23 at 5:00pm
 
Does this make sense to anyone? My tracking says that it went from China to Alaska to New Jersey to Connecticut (where I live), but I just checked it, and it says "int'l shipping release" in Alaska. Is it correct to assume that this is just paperwork processing of some sort (customs)?

Mine says the same exact thing....
 
Feeling anxious here...

Estimated delivery is June 29 (Monday).

It arrived at the local dest sort facility June 27 at 6:28 am from Memphis. Then it was scanned as arrived in Memphis (again) at 10:16. currently, it shows "Arrived at FedEx location: ANCHORAGE, AK"!

I'm hoping they catch it and send it back before it gets back to China...

This must be customs processing. My mother ordered hers on the same day (she lives in a different town in CT) and hers is saying the same thing. If you look at other tracking lists from this thread, you see that the int'l shipping release comes between when it arrives in Alaska and leaves Alaska

Since we ordered around the same time, we know that we get the 2-5 day estimated shipping. The day after I ordered, it was switched to an estimated 3-7 (?) or something of that sort. They must be backlogged, and I'm guessing that that is the issue.
 
Good news -- my iphone 3GS was delivered this morning as scheduled!
Glad to see it was not sent back to Alaska, after all!
 
I went to the AT&T store everyday after work last week, but they were sold out everyday.

Finally ordered a 16GB Black iPhone3GS on June 27th...says it'll be delivered July 8-14. Hopefully sooner! I didnt get the 2 day shipping because the estimate for that was July 9-13 which I thought was really strange.
 
I ordered mine on the 25th and this morning it still said "not yet shipped" and there were no signs that would change, so I cancelled it, drove two and a half hours to the closest apple store, and walked out with an iphone in 15 minutes.

It was worth the wait - sold my 3G to pay for this so i was out a iphone for aweek lol I survived...

I drove 2.5 hours as well....and even checked the stock list on the apple site. The last one sold 10 minutes before I walked into the apple store... It sucked.

Went home and just ordered from apple.
