Wife's gold 1.1GHz will be here Tuesday. When I ordered it said 1-2 weeks backorder then two days later I received the tracking number.
As much as I'm not a huge fan of Bestbuy (they have completely screwed a couple of my customers with warranty work) I finally couldn't stand the wait and ordered one yesterday (SG 1.2/512). When I ordered it said delivered by Tuesday with expedited $30 shipping. Currently order is "In Process" and doesn't show a date but I hope Tuesday is still good.

yep, wondering the same thing. Not sure if I want to buy online and wait the 2-4 week backorder or gamble and wait until they're available in store...whenever that could be.

I also just ordered a 1.2GHz 512gb in Space Gray. Paid $5 for a movers coupon on eBay and saved $160! I really do like my iPad Air 2 but am sick and tired of resetting the memory when using Safari.
ordered one at BestBuy as an international customer (shipping to US friend)...delivered by April 23rd 
used the movers coupon, $130 off!
And it saves me about 300 euro's compared to the price here in the Netherlands (yeah yeah...I know, pass through customs first on arrival at the airport hehe)

I just logged into bestbuy.com to check order status and it shipped! Should have it tomorrow... Woohoo!
Ugh a little worried, ordered 12/512 space gray sunday night, it still shows overnight availability on bestbuy, however it doesn't show shipped. It now states "Order Status:: 1 item(s) - Order in process of being fulfilled; Usually ships in 1 - 3 days."
Call them up with a reason why you forgot to put in the number. Some places will sometimes adjust. Of course you'll need the # on hand.
Order has shipped! whew. ty for that reassurance. aha

It's worth a try. The coupon on ebay is like $4.00, plus you get the coupon within 10 mins of the seller, make sure it states you can use it online and that it'll only be delivered online. I think most if not all do, but I ordered two from two different people and it worked out very well. Sucks that it can't be combo'd with the student $50 off, I hear people doing it in store, but online it's smart enough to invalidate one or the other.
This. They will honor the coupon within your return window. Why? b.c you could return and repurchase it.

Surprisingly good service from Best Buy. I normally don't like dealing with Best Buy, but next day delivery helps cut down from dealing with the stupid that normally infests the store.

Anyone have any luck calling in the code after the fact? First attempt failed- about to call in hopes that the next person will do it for me.
What is this coupon you guys are talking about? If I order the base model $1249 on Apple's site from the education store, will ordering from bestbuy's be cheaper with this coupon? And if so, how can I get this coupon. I already placed my order on the Apple store and it won't ship until 4-6 weeks later. But if I can get it cheaper at BB and quicker, I'll cancel my order with Apple and get it from BB instead.
Mine arrived today. I ordered a Space Grey 1.1/256 from BB on Thursday evening. I canceled my Apple store order.
I'm guessing b/c bestbuy has a harsh return policy if I am not mistaken. 15% restocking fee?

I would be concerned that there might be a problem out of the box and I'd have to pay a pretty penny just to replace it.
But I commend all you out there who go this route. I don't think I could.
