I ordered on both as well and can't cancel AT&T. The cancel button when pressed just refreshes the page. Doesn't give me any sort of confirmation page. I called and they cannot find order. So I might have to wait until it's in the system. Since it won't ship for a while, don't think there is risk of getting double billed.

you don't need to cancel your order from att, att canceled my order automatically
. looks like apple order got through faster than att even i ordered from att earlier than from apple.
 
I did the same thing by mistake. I got into the apple store and it crashed while processing my order then ordered through att and it went through. About 2 hours ago I got an email from att saying they cancelled my order due to the fact that I am not eligible for an upgrade so going to assume my apple order is being processed. Can't view status due to the status part of the site being down.
 
I ordered through AT&T just after midnight. But when I saw that the shipping said "14-21 business days," I tried the Apple Store (which was STILL down at the time.) Finally was able to order through the Apple Store iPad app an hour later, with shipping on 9/19. At 8:40AM, I got an e-mail from AT&T saying they cancelled my order because I no longer qualified for an upgrade. So it seems that Apple processed my upgrade first, even though I placed the order much later than with AT&T.

This whole thing was such a mess.

Same thing happened to me for one of my lines. Everyone just dropped the ball here but mainly AT&T imo.

I've cancelled a preorder through AT&T also and still no confirmation email. Can't even tell if the cancellation was processed because it just refreshes the page when you hit the cancel button.
 
I actually ordered another 6 Plus through AT&T and the Apple Store for my wife. Her order is still pending with AT&T. I did get the confirmation e-mail from Apple (Oct 1-6 delivery) and AT&T shows 21-28 business days. However, I don't know why I'm hesitant to cancel the AT&T order. My order with Apple should be locked in, right?

hahaha theres no assuming here man i still am showing a 649 dollar price tag for my phone on my apple request and obviously don't wanna pay that if its 400 for a contract....i cancelled my att order though
