Butters said:Yes it's normal unfortunately.
I ordered my macbook 2 weeks and 1 day ago and i'm expecting it tuesday 3rd oct. (or tomorrow[monday] if I'm lucky)
I'm a little disspointed it's taking so long.
xJulianx said:Very annoying indeed, perhaps it's just us in the UK that have to wait this amount of time?
Butters said:Yeah I think so.
Infact I remember reading on this forum somewhere that somebody from the US who ordered at the same time as me got theres sometime last week.
xJulianx said:It says on my order status that the estimated delivery time will be on the 18th October. This seems like a rather long time, just over 2 weeks. Is this normal? Do they quote such a long period as a safety net incase the delivery gets held up?
Many thanks.
To add to the knowledge base: I ordered a full-spec black MacBook on Sep 26, with an initial estimated arrival of Oct 11. This has subsequently been revised downward to Oct 7, and now stands at Oct 8.sulhaq said:I don't know if this is true or becoming a trend or something lol, but I ordered two macbooks and both of them shipped exactly on the said estimated delivery date. Just throwing it out there that even though they say its a lot earlier than the estimated delivery date sometimes it takes just as long, as happened to me in both my orders and there were no problems or anything either. I followed my order closely almost called them everyday since the day of order.

We are unable to obtain an authorisation for your order. Please ensure your card provider is aware of your order, as we will continue to seek authorisation.
Your Macbook is delayed as they are updating.
Today they have internally announced a new product. Could be an error but I would bet by end of Today you see the new specs listed on the website.
Be thankful you never got one last week
I'd give them a ring, yeah. Prolly just coz its such a large transaction.
