Ordered X on one line, activate on other?

hello! i tried to search but could not find an answer (maybe I'm dumb).

I have three lines with AT&T and I ordered an iPhone X through NEXT every year. When my phone gets here, can i pop out the sim that is in it, and activate with an existing ATT sim with a different number than the line it was ordered on?

Also, if I activate with an existing sim i can avoid the activation fee, right?

Activate and simply switch the sims afterwards. I’m on my 8688 line with my 7Plus that I upgraded on my 6022 line.

Don’t know about the activation fee. Just ask them to rescind it.
