Ordering my new imac 27 inch within the next 2 hours! Advice Please?

give Apple a call . the worst that would happened is you'll get your order a day later. once I started using the TP I never looked back. it seems most opinions on MR's is that the TP and a Aftermarket Mouse is the way to go .

I have same iMac config just 1TB Fusion. Man are you going to enjoy that machine. Upgrade the RAM down the road and voila! You will be surprised at how fast these machines are.
Just log into the Apple Store and order the pad. I've got the keyboard, magic mouse, and magic trackpad. I love and use all.
Ok I have managed to add my Trackpad with my order
Now the waiting begins!
Geat choice. I have just received the exact same spec except I went for the Trackpad only as I already had a Magic Mouse.
It is a brilliant machine and a really good upgrade from my 2008 iMac. I wasn't sure if I'd get used to the Trackpad that quickly but I was using that in preference to the mouse within an hour or so
I use both. For normal use - web browsing, mail, word processing, finances etc., a trackpad can not be beat. I loathe using anything else.
However, for very finite mouse pointing/clicking, I resort to the trusty mouse. This means most games and Photoshop (which I also use a Wacom pen).
Personally, I'd just get the Trackpad, but I has the luxury of testing both side by side without extra cost as I already had the mouse.
The Trackpad is so intuitive that after only a couple of days use I miss it when using my work machine which has a mouse.
Well my Mac is preparing for shipment... Hopefully be here late next week!
I though they had added the Trackpad to my order however they have charged and sent separately! Stupid really as I requested to add the cost to my iMac bill and add to the same package lol!

You'll probably end up with the trackpad before the computer, so you'll have a bit of Apple before the whole fruit.
