Good news , just got word that the MacBook is on it's way ;D it's been shipped according to Apple

Indeed. Well sorta. You can do the FedEx release form thing that you tape to your front door. I knew I wasn't going to be home during the day when it was scheduled to be delivered, so I took the chance and let the FedEx guy leave the package on the front porch. Luckily I live in a nice neighborhood, but nothing worse than knowing a $2400 box is sitting out in the open. Not as bad as knowing you missed it being delivered though. ;)

You have balls of steel holy crap.

Any time I order anything, whether it's worth $5 or $5,000, I have it shipped to my office. I do NOT trust things being delivered to my house even if I'm supposed to sign for it. Years ago, my mom bought me a clarinet through Woodwind Brasswind and it was shipped UPS. Everything she got said it had to be signed for so we weren't worried. Well, she got a delivery confirmation after not having received the instrument. We were completely freaking out, called UPS and they said the driver said it was left in the door! In the door? That made no sense, but they couldn't get in touch with the driver because he was on vacation. I just knew that my clarinet had been stolen off our front porch. Finally, after a trace they discovered that the note didn't say it was left in the door but in the side door! We NEVER use our side door! My clarinet had been sitting between the storm door and the inside door for 5 days! So, now, I ALWAYS ship things to where I know I will be when it is delivered!

I just got home with my new 13" MBP and am typing on it right now. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I am enjoying mine! :apple:

Congrats on the new MacBook Pro! I just ordered mine on Saturday.

2.3GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x2GB
128GB Solid State Drive
8x Double-Layer SuperDrive
MBP 15"HR Antiglare WS Display

I got the SSD for $90 with the student discount. I figured it would be worth it even if I replaced it with another SSD later on. Also got a couple of goodies to go with it:

OWC Mercury Elite Pro mini 2.5" Bus-Powered Portable FW800&400+ USB2+eSATA Drive
Stm Bags LLC Jacket- Medium, Chocolate/Rust
Crucial 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333

Yea... the wife was a little upset that I dropped $3k while I was bored at work. :D

Did this with my MBP too. Also left a note for the guy to leave it under/behind the bench where it was hidden from view and he was nice enough to do that. :D

It was that or drive 35 minutes to the FedEx place to pick it up. Again, my neighborhood is a quiet suburban one with virtually no crime. Our house has security cameras too. The thief would've been fried. :p

My FedEx guy was nice enough to set it behind a plant we have on our porch, so it wasn't too visible.
