3 years and going strong

Purchased mine just over 3 years ago and still going strong. I do plan on finally upgrading though in June.

I'm impressed. You've used it for that long? I couldn't stand anything less than iOS 4. The black background was killing me. 😀

It hasn't been easy lately with everyone else I know with iOS 4 and 3G, but yeah 3 long years and the phone is still rock solid. I just hope the new one is available in 64GB and HSPA+ capable.

Most likely. 64GB is a definite. HSPA + is probable.

My dad is using my old 1st gen and he likes it. He will be upgrading soon tho.

I still use mine (since 2007!). Has a big river shaped crack across the screen. Has been with me to Asia/South America. Never turned off, working 24/7.

Wonderful device.
