Wow my battery life has taken a major hit. Installed OS9 on release day and it’s just awful now. I was fully charged at 9am and now down to 49% at 2pm. Haven’t done any workouts nor taken any calls on it. Was bad the first day and has continued to be pretty awful.

Anyone else seeing this?

Mine was at 100% at 11:28am. Just over 3 hours ago.

I did just re-pair it with a new phone so that likely has given it a bit of a knock.

Not great but nothing like what you’re seeing.

Yeah not sure what the deal is. Might try to unpair and repair the watch.

Hmm. I'm on a series 7 with 99% battery health. Who knows... Sounds like maybe its just me though which is good.

series 5 battery health increased from 83% to 89%. after the first day, i feel like battery life is roughly the same

Battery life after an OS upgrade always seems to take a hit, I usually power down/up my watch after 1 week or so and it always seem to help.
Having said that, installed 9 yesterday, took it off at 4:30 and now at 1pm it’s 60% and I have 74 exercise minutes, seems pretty normal to me, maybe slightly less but I usually only look at the end of the day how low battery is, hardly ever below 20%

Yep, suffering the same issue. Fully charged this morning and down to below 40% by 9pm, which would have been normal if I’d gone for my morning run but I’ve been sitting at my desk all day. Battery health is 92%

Yes I am. Tried today changing my watch face if that will help.

I've unpaired and repaired to see if that fixes the problem. Something was definitely off, it started draining even faster and got down to 19%...

I also updated my s7 on release day, and today my battery usage seems to be back to normal. Charged it this morning to 100%, removed from the charger at 7:30am, it's now almost 2:30pm, so 7 hours and I have 81% remaining which is very typical for me.
Battery health is at 95%.

Yup. I usually wait for the x.0.1 or even x.1 release before upgrading. :D

Give it time. My S4 was awful on the first day after updating, to the point where even with the new “low power mode” on later in the day it didn’t make it to bedtime - and then seemed to need longer than usual to charge to 100% - but now it’s made it through a much busier second day (with more workouts) with battery life to spare and no need for low power mode at all.

My battery health has also miraculously increased from 86% to 88% - not complaining 🤷‍♂️

The series 7 and later support fast charging and I tell you its well worth it! I used to have a S4 until I upgraded and am not looking back. The fast charging is worth the price.
