I don't see why some of you are flipped out over this.. obviously you looked at the picture and not at the movie on the site.. which clearly shows that windows still minimize directly into the dock for neat tidyness as they always have under any version of X... The difference is the added *option* to drag the tinys out of the dock onto the desktop just like any icon.. not a particularly bad idea if you have an overcrowded dock.
In fact, I can see interesting uses for it.. for security monitoring or webcams for example.. anything running Quicktime in the window will continue to update even in minimized form in the dock or on the desktop.. You could keep webcam windows shrunk on the desktop of all your favorite locations or people and then just click them right on the desktop to expand instead of fumbling with the dock.. why not? I think it's cool to have an extra option.
