if you turn off internet sharing.. you will run into a lot less errors.
i have almost never had a connection issue - it is most likely due to the way your router is set up.

Internet Sharing should have nothing to do with it. This is a discussion thread on Apple's website about the same issue, and so far there is no fix: Multiple Logins
Everything was working fine - iCal etc would sync to mobileme and the iphones - then I bought new MacBook - tried to do a first time sync and now sync tells me it can't perform due to inconsistent data in Calendars (Mobileme) - then suggests that I should overwrite mobileme with data from iCal - trouble is this is new iCal with no data yet and all my appointments etc are held on mobileme (as the 2 iPhones continue to sync) and I can't begin to tell how many dates / calendars we are talking here - it would be a nightmare to re enter them all into ical - looking at console log shows that it is trying to update a record that it cannot find

Not just here; if you do a Google news search on "10.5.7" you'll see that Mac|Life's story got mentioned by a large number of Mac bloggers.
ichat connections
The problem you are coming across with your ichat problems is due to your router. my advise, BUY A NEW ROUTER.
Either your router is old and needs to be updated anyway. or your router is set up to block certain programs or connections. If you have a new router, then change that router for another router like the airport express or extreme. It's a simple fix. Avoid saving $20 on a router and get a airport and that will fix your ichat problems. All that , connect/disconnect multiple times, unable to video chat, always cuts off while on the internet, looses my password, takes long to connect, all of that has to do with the ROUTER. BUT A NEW ROUTER and if you already bought a new linksys or netgear, GET A AIRPORT to assure you'll get ichat to work properly. They work with PC and Mac's.

If you want to try changing your ports before you spend $$ on a new router, here is a link to Apples site that tells you what ports are required for iChat. This link is for os x 10.5.x. If you are still on 10.4, there is a link within this document for that.

If you don't know how to change the ports on your router, look it up in the guide that came with the router, or go to the manufactures support website and find the guide for your model.

The original story also speculated that 9J58 could be the final build, and that was ruled out a couple days ago.
Well is the evening of Friday May 8th and still no 10.5.7 update. I feel we will see the 10.5.7 update the week of May 18th to May 22nd.

And FTR Winblows 7 is nothing more than Vista II....the "experience" isn't my cup of tea--it's STILL UG-LY and YEARS behind OS X.

This wifi problem on unibody Macs needs a fix and soon. Although, I can't wait for my new iPhone next month. Please OLED and some great tethering action.
