It's 11pm here on the East Coast... No 10.5.7 Juno yet.

One hour left... MacLife, this is FAIL (great source there:confused:). Apple, the fact that this is taking so long... EPIC FAIL.

This wifi problem on unibody Macs needs a fix and soon. Although, I can't wait for my new iPhone next month. Please OLED and some great tethering action.:):apple:

It being a few hours after the 9J61 build being released, that's asking a little?

The Airport problem... Internet cutting in and out. That's what I meant.

Regardless, it's not horrible. Just a little bit of a pain in my ass.

Never had that problem on my Unibody MacBook Pro... I think your modem or your internet provider service sucks.

My wife's 13" unibody has that problem, but only with 802.11n. My MBP is fine. Under Bootcamp/XP her machine is fine, too. Must be some sort of software issue. Probably not because our "modem or internet provider service sucks", because we don't have a modem and our FiOS 20/20 service is rock solid.

yes, it's a known problem with leopard that apple seems unable to fix. tiger does not cause these problems and neither does windows, but since the problems have existed since leopard came out, it's a fair bet that 10.5.7 isn't going to fix it either.

i have had my unibody macbook since Nov 08 and use N at home and G at work and cant recall ever dropping a network.

strange how this kind of stuff can differ from machine to machine.

Sorry to get deep, but (in Life) this seems to be the same situation with any electrical/mechanical item (cars, computers, etc, etc)

All it takes it one person not to tighten up a bolt or screw something tightly properly, or maybe weald it wrong way, or not solder a point correctly...

And what we get is the luck of the draw...

Latest Day?

I found something interesting on Apple's website that could potentially be a lead to when 10.5.7 will come out.

When browsing through the store, I came across advertising for The Sims 3 pre-orders.

http://store.apple.com/us (Below the MacBooks)

It says that The Sims 3 will come out June 2nd. Looking at the specs for the game, it says that it will require OS X 10.5.7.

http://store.apple.com/us/product/TV928?mco=NzI2NDc0

Could this mean that the very latest we can expect 10.5.7 to come out will be June 2nd? I don't know how likely this would be, but if the update keeps getting delayed from the rumored dates, I think that this could show at least the last possible day.

There have been things that require 10.5.7 that are already out for sometime now. Nothing new.

Tiger doesn't run on unibody MBs. Are you referring to some other system?

i own a 2008 mbp so i could test this with tiger, the symptoms are the same on the unibody as the broadcom wireless lan chipset is the same.
