This update:

- Improves 4K display support on Mac Pro (Late 2013) and MacBook Pro with 15-inch Retina Display (Late 2013)
- Adds the ability to sync contacts and calendars between a Mac and iOS device using a USB connection
- Improves the reliability of VPN connections using IPsec
- Includes Safari 7.0.3

Shouldn't that be RESTORES syncing?

So we waited all this time for a 10.9.3 update to get the Mac Pro better 4K support and an update to Safari? (that hardly anyone uses anymore and no longer exists on anything but Apple products despite not official dropping of the Windows version; thanks Apple for being such GENIUSES at communication!). SNOOZE.

What happened to improved graphics drivers? How about getting OpenGL up to date to 4.3 some time this century?

How about fixing Spotlight so it stops corrupting itself? (i.e. I'm rebuilding from scratch/reboot again after it completely hung itself once again right now).

How about a flipping dock bar on both monitors for those of us that use the side-mounted dock? I mean that was a no-brainer that should have been there since day 1 (let alone all the people they cheesed off with the light grey opaque look that looks awful on darker backdrops).

How about an option for update notification to NOT BUG ME AGAIN *EVER* instead of options of "1 hour from now" or "tomorrow" and crap like that. Great. I know there's an update. Stop bugging me. Yeah, I know I can turn update notification OFF period, but I just want to know ONCE.

How about a dual-pane browser option so I don't need XtraFinder forever?

How about some REAL improvements *OR* JUST LEAVE IT ALONE so we can get stability instead? Apple has introduced more bugs than it has fixed or new features added by a magnitude or more. This constant once a year update cycle is going to be the death of Apple at some point combined with their lack of support for older versions of OSX. Some people NEED stability and Apple keeps fracking things up and then says/does NOTHING since everything has to be a big secret!

You think this update will finally bring fingerprint sensors and sapphire glass to my 2012 iMac?

Thanks

10.9.3 added a retina display with sapphire glass and a HD webcam to my 2010 Mac mini.

----------

It's been too old to use for a long time :p

I use Safari as my main browser. The only alternatives are Chrome (with Google spying), Firefox (slow to start, hate the interface) or Opera (which uses the same webkit-derived engine as Chrome), so what's the point of using anything but Safari?

The only thing Safari lacks, for me, is the ability to disable animated GIFs. There should be three options: loop as needed, loop only once, static display-first-frame-only.

slight correction...

- Adds the ability to sync contacts and calendars between a Mac and iOS device using a USB connection

I think it would be much more accurate to say "restored" instead of "adds" back the the USB syncing ability.

Regardless, THANK YOU Apple for RESTORING this feature. :)

the newest public beta 13D55 never ended up showing up for me, a little confused why apple made betas available to the public but we were only able to download the first one

I just desperately hope this improves the situation with the fileserver components that so many business customers running servers have been having horrific problems with.

10.9.2 actually made it usable (if still a bit unstable) for Windows clients, which was a huge improvement over anything since they pulled Samba post-10.6, but there's still a lengthy thread on Apple's site lamenting the serious issues.

I've had the same issues with 10.9.0, 10.9.1, and 10.9.2. I hope 10.9.3 fixes them (late 2013 Retina MacBook Pro).

* semi-random kernel panics when using VMware Fusion (possible VMware's fault).

* Bluetooth just "dies". It stops working, and I cannot turn it off to try and toggle it off/on. I have to reboot.

I have a Bluetooth dying problem too but I was associating it with my cat shocking the MacBook while walking past it on the coffee table when I'm using it for Internet TV. I actually have to power it off and on to get Bluetooth working again. Reboot isn't enough.

Because that build was only for developers, not the public beta program.

You call that build a "public beta". Apple never did. It is not a public beta.

The two programs are not always going to get the same builds. Or even if they do, it won't necessarily be at the same time.

I only use Safari too. Except when I have to do Treasuries for my friend's etsy store (then I need a plugin that only exists on Chrome). Safari all the way, otherwise, and greatly preferred.

It's out. But strangely it seems to be build 13D61.
Safari 7.0.4 beta out as well.

Hopefully they restored the "open in new window" for the finder.
I have two customers that downgraded back to mt lion when they couldn't open a new window in the finder without holding a modifier key.
They keep asking me if apple fixed this yet.

My Bluetooth control panel does this with Bluetooth "dies":

Instead of having my system name, it says "<< do not localize >... Name not available"

I Googled that string. It seems like it is common:

That definitely seems like a hardware issue to me. I would recommend taking it to an Apple store to get it looked at.

At the very least, it might be a common enough occurrence that they may know a bit more about what [in Mavericks] may be causing it to happen.

Safari 7.0.4 beta out as well.

There's 13D62 build out too .. Only for Devs / AppleCare+ staff so far .. Once AppleCare+ gets the build Gold Master of build is close for release...

How about 10.9.4?

10.9.4 is still in Alpha Build no external Beta Builds yet... Give it 3-4 more weeks for Dev beta seed to build ...

i'll update at day one and as usual find that nothing changed for me.. seems that updates are only slightly useful for those who owns the newest models (read: they still have huge flaws/have been released too soon)
How about fixing Spotlight so it stops corrupting itself? (i.e. I'm rebuilding from scratch/reboot again after it completely hung itself once again right now).
how about an easy option to bring back the vocabulary in top position? it seems they forgot completely the existance of writers in this world..

i don't personally get this one.. what would be the difference from disabling a certain app from displaying notifications?
How about a dual-pane browser option so I don't need XtraFinder forever?
funny thing is, when they launched 10.9 i said: wow, cool, tabbed finder it's such a smart and useful thing!
then i completely forgot the exixstance of it and i still use finder as always (but with a worse "exposé".. i went back to using cmd+tab instead!)

that was a bit OT, i just wanted to share some frustrations with you guys :D

Where is this update? I've been waiting in front of my computer for the last 24 hours and it still isn't available in software update!
