D) Sort of fixing Spaces
Did I miss anything?
Yes, you are basing this on rumours. There may be some nice surprises at WWDC.

But will cmd+x finally come to us pro users?
So when is OS X going to get cellular support, such as that available in iOS on the iPad?
That indeed is a good point.
Do you mean the finder window that pops up showing the contents of the DMG?
No, there is an application (dashboard?) that pops up after downloading something
Dashboard isn't an app, it's built into the dock. I'm not exactly sure what you mean

Do I read this correctly? Tagging finally becoming a first-class citizen on OS X? This would most certainly mean revamps to the file system! I don't care much for tabbed Finder, but it could be interesting if done right. Oh, and the application-backgrounding APIs sound extremely interesting!
Tags - it's about time! This seems such a basic way to enhance file/folder organisation (and necessary), why in the underworld has it taken so long? This is very good indeed.
launchpad? I can't remember the name
Apple "stopped" development/supporting it quite a while ago.
Reason unknown AFAIK but I think the reason might be the following, I installed ZFS several years ago, uninstalled it shortly after after finding out that if you eject an external the OS crashes, if that is still the case I don't want ZFS, simple as that.
Are you referring to the Launchpad that pops up when you download something from the App Store? You can stop that from happening if I recall. Just drag the Launchpad icon out of the dock.
Launchpad would probably be what your talking about and why is it bad that launchpad shows up after an app is installed?
This seems to be a dot release, i.e. minor update as opposed to a new, named OS (whatever cat they will use this time). I'm a little dissapointed.![]()
So when is OS X going to get cellular support, such as that available in iOS on the iPad?
I've held off buying my next MacBook Pro in the hope that it will have it. I want full-time internet connectivity like the iPad, and I need it on an OS X machine.
The ability to use the secondary monitor during a fullscreen app on the primary would be a nice feature though, although I hardly see that a whole new version is necessary for such a simple change. Just update 10.5-present with such a feature?![]()
I agree. I highly doubt it would be that hard to make it possible, but who am I to say? This feature alone makes me excited for 10.9!
you can't do that right now? Maximize, full screen that is, a window on the main monitor and use the other with the menu bar?
What is wrong with getting a cellular USB stick so those that don't need that function wouldn't have to pay to have it integrated
The people that dont need the function dont have to pay for it![]()
While ZFS would be great, it will probably never happen due to licensing issues. Although Apple should be able to create their own that has similar advantages, hopefully we'll finally see some real improvements to HFS in 10.9.
It's not.
I use BetterTouchTool for exactly this reason. It allows me to customize my gestures for my trackpad -- and in my case, I did indeed "bring back" the four-finger swipe up to show the desktop! Not to mention the much-easier four-finger swipe sideways to show all running apps.i hope they fix the expose gestures. the 4-fingers-up-to-reveal-desktop and 4-fingers-down-to-show-all-windows worked so much better. Right now it's so much more of a hassle to move files from a window to the desktop with the "pinch out" gesture
