I knew this was going to happen :D

Along with free iWork and iLife it undermines Microsoft's business model. The only down side is for developers. There is now more of an expectation of free.

I SOOOO want to Download and install this now...BUT at work and who knows what issues might come of it...
I have to wait until I get home to the personal machine

Thanks for posting the direct link, I was refreshing the App Store and not seeing it. Now, after 5 minutes 32Mb of 5.29Gb downloaded... it's going to be a long night! (It's night here in Scotland)

Downloading now :D:D Thanks apple

Gah...midterm... Do I Study... or do I update... study... update... study...update...

WHY MUST APPLE BE SO CRUEL???

How much ram are you running. Debating about upgrading my mid '09 mbp. Then again I am debating about getting one of the new rmbp's too lol

my mbp 2009 flies, with ssd and 8gb of ram. Using adobe suit, autocad, maya rhino, lightroom... but, no retina display. but it flies.

Does it auto upgrade once you start downloading or is it a file/app you have to open for the upgrade to start? I want to let this download while I'm in class, but I don't want it to upgrade without me taking backups and such first.

Going to wait, I'm afraid about app compatibility.

Are they all updated already?

Been using the developer previews since WWDC with no issues in compatibility. After Effects had some issues early on, but was updated.

You honestly think that someone has managed to already download this?!

When I had 100Mbit fibre, I once actually downloaded an OS X install in 10 minutes from App Store. But not on the launch day. :)

any chance this will slow a 2012 mac air (i5 8gb ram)?? ive been stung by ios updates in the past so just double checking first.

I'm still running 10.6.8 on my 2010 iMac i7. I think this might make me finally jump! it seems like a more polished release than 10.7 or even 10.8 and will allow me to use some of the new features of my iPhone 5S (iMessage, iCloud, AirDrop, etc).

Not in Canada Store yet!

Possibly just a delay...

-------------------------------

Too many Apple products to list!

UPDATE... App Store Canada has now removed Mountain Lion. Seems Canada Store just slow to update. Mavericks likely available soon.
