Must stay glued to the MAS to download the SECOND IT'S OUT. Because obviously, I miss out on features if I don't just wait an hour
But don't you have to close and reopen to get the new product list or do they just show up while you are logged in? Better have two machines ready, just in case. One with the MAS open and one that you have the google alerts going to.
That path maybe a problem for Apple; What happens when Apple choses "Fuji"
Then they will have to spend some dough buying the company and then use their patents on photo tech to squeeze Samsung again.

I've been with macs 4 years so my 1st upgrade I had to do was SL which was flawless. I thought they were all like this so had a nasty shock with Lion i.e. battery life cut in half and slow boots/sluggishness.

Last year's release, in California time, was around 5:35 AM... just the right time to disappoint those who stayed up late, but early enough for those who slept normally to download over their morning coffee.

I'm now starting the process of going through all my files and saving them to an external drive in preparation of a clean install tomorrow.
Be sure to unplug that external while you're doing the upgrade....

Why not just pay the £13.00 for it? Or however much it will cost in your country? It is literally nothing...

Out of all the OS X releases ML is the weakest upgrade. I'm not saying it's not good, I'm saying is it really a big leap forward that you have to have it the day it comes out and wait 6 hours to download & install???
The best and most noticeble upgraded was Tiger (10.4). Some many useable new features when first came out. But back then it cost $129 to upgrade so it was a BIG upgrade at the time

And supposedly all of the bullcrap that we've been having to deal with using the Beta. The bugs are killing me, haha.

Because we devs don't work for free. 1000s of hours of development doesn't come free. Go ahead and steal it if it makes you feel good.
Well the irony in that is that safari 6's new javascript is the fastest in the world. combined with a whole new version's worth of features and enhancements id hope it'll be snappier
That makes no sense because at 12:00EST in Califoria it's only 9:00pm (today) having said that apple is not going to release it on a EST time zone that would mean that here in Califoria were the headquarters are at it would still be today...
