I just realized... should the speed tests be done with San Jose servers? Where would the files be coming from? I just did San Jose server 5,600 miles away and ended up with something much less pleasant...

Theoretically, unless Apple servers melt, if download size is approx. 4 gigabytes and download speed is 10 megabits per second, it'll take about 55 minutes. So 5-6 minutes for those who can download at 100 megabits per second and 10 hours for those who download at 1 megabits per second. Right?
Maybe you should take a test server closer to your base![]()

Don't worry, you will probably get the same speed as everyone else when it trickles down at telephone modem speeds....![]()
I'm ready!

If you don't feel like waiting for Apple to stop being so controlling, and releasing software when THEY want to, just download the Mountain Lion Golden Master. It's the same version they will release today. Click the link here to download it

Bro... are you serious? *sigh* You seriously can't afford $20? SHAKE MAH HEAD.
Maybe it's not about the money and you just want to have things early and be the first by getting a pirated version of the GM. DOUBLE SHAKE MAH EAD.
You're a real loyal Apple supporter...
Any idea what time Apple is going to release this?
