OS X Snow Leopard 10A432 Installer Tweaks, Public Launch on August 28th?

Your comment/ question, for the most part, sounds serious. How do we know that you are INDEED kidding and you are you're not just a stupid little bloke (I'm INDEED kidding - your comment was INDEED funny, in a sort of geeky way)

BTW - Why the HECK is almost everybody commenting on the damn custom HD icon?!?!? I'm entering the damn thread to read any further notices / inspections, and all I see are comments by folks that are not aware of the customizable part of Mac OS X... Common guys, show mercy to the rest of us that want to learn 'new stuff' about the upcoming Snowleopard and just go ahead and join another relative threads!!! :(
 
8/28 would be a perfect date for me since I'll be out of town in between that and Labor Day.

I cannot wait to pay 49 bucks for the 5-license copy.

I don't think there is any new stuff. There isn't any explanation of the release on August 28th, and the post links to the previous story, or the installer video/screenshots, which aren't in English.
Personally, I'd like to see the screens translated, but not desperately.
 
i like that dock, how can i get it?? if anyone could help me out please.

one thing i dont like about this video is the actual snow leopard on the disc. apple hasnt given their OSs any kind of reference to the animal other than the name. for example, leopard cd, box art... dosnt have any leopard right? its mostly pink space graphics. looking in the leopard wallpapers, theres no actual leopard. only animal i found was a zeebra. does the snow leopard wallpaper collection actually have a snow leopard? if so, how come they are doing this? tiger might have been like that, i think it had a tiger fur image o nthe disc. i dont understand this return of actual animal references besides the name.
 
also, i noticed you can install quicktime 7, he says its for old video formats. why cant they make quicktime x play those formats?
 
This weak rumor of an early release makes my heart leap ever so slightly. After all, I would really appreciate not installing a new OS right in the middle of an university term. I know I could wait until the term's over and make it a Christmas present, but I so want to be part of the grand release and experience. :p
 
I feel uneasy with these early release rumors. Hope 10.6.0 will be better than 10.5.0 and we won't be needing a 10.6.1 after few weeks.

10.4.0 was like 10.5.0, so we needed 10.4.1 after a few weeks.
10.3.0 was like 10.4.0, so we needed 10.3.1 after a few weeks.

People that came along during the middle/end of Tiger's life thought it was all hunky dory before then, it wasn't.
 
There will always be patches and I won't be upgrading until the dust settles.

I'll upgrade at 10.6.2. perhaps.

its fake all right{meaning the installer icon}

the leopard disc and installer had copyrights and all that stuff.
 
I sure hope it won't be released on the 28th! I'm going to be away... And I don't want to do the whole 'install on vacation' thing. Too stressful. :mad:

It's the same apple of the Beatle's Apple recording label! Steve Jobs will finally announce that iTunes will feature the Fab Four's entire catalogue! :eek:
 
That cant be the real installer. Surely the design on apple.com would be the same style as the installer?
