can you post your compiled dmg or the core for N64 please?

nevermind, I compiled the latest myself
here it is for anyone else who wants it https://filetea.me/t1sP0xGIyD6Toy3sBocs0hXfg

Any chance of reposting that?

Could you post some details on how you enabled that core?
For the life of me I can't figure it out in Xcode.

I only have 2 N64 games, which worked fine in previous versions but I can't get back to a version with N64 working.

n64 core

I still cant seem to get a working core for the n64. Anybody got something they can send my way? I really don't know what I'm doing.

Has anyone been able to get MAME working? I consistently get the following:

^ I've been doing a new build of OpenEmu every month or so - I could never get the MAME plugin to launch a ROM. I think the actual MAME porting is in very early stages (as far as the user is concerned)

It'll be good to see an emulator that isn't artifically crippled to not accept USB controllers or allow full screen without buying some add-on that doesn't work and has sarcastic instructions on getting it to work from the person who made it and half the console emulators it's (badly) designed to work with.

Just being able to play old SNES (Famicom) or Megadrive (Genesis) games would be fine. Add a controller via bluetooth and my Mac Mini is going to be a never ending source of entertainment through my TV eventually.

----------

Not to be a downer but wouldn't old games coded for SD television either look native in a small window (720 x 525 or less) or show a fair amount of pixelation/jaggies scaled up to- say- an iMac (full) screen? I don't think at least some of those old consoles were using much vector back then; I though bit map graphics was most of THE way back in those days.

Nevertheless, sentimental joys could be upon us again.

I assume this might have some connection with Multi Emulator Super System, which is related to Multi Arcade Machine Emulator. MacMAME, which I haven't used in years, had blitter settings that created CRT emulated overlays on the video using the 3D hardware of your GPU. Intentional scanline effects and even cross-hatching and bluring all added to making the video more like a realistic large format arcade CRT and for console games, emulating a large CRT TV would be exactly the same.

Is there anyone who has the latest build compiled and ready to download at all?
Would be incredibly easier for me and many others :)

I just spent a while trying to get it to build, and finally got it working. I'm about as far from an expert on this as you can get, so downloader beware, but here's the app I ended up with, if anyone's interested.

N64 games appear to work, though I only tested with Mario64.

thanks for the compile. though.. it seems like Arcade and N64 don't have cores in there.

also.. while playing SNES.. i'm trying to switch from the SNES9x core to BSNES.. and every time i try.. it gives me this error: "The operation couldn’t be completed. The ROM couldn't be loaded."

is the BSNES core currently not available, or do i have a bad install? i'm trying to switch cores, since the SNES9x core doesn't seem to allow for image scaling.

thanks!

OK, after posting I ended up building it myself on 2013-11-09:

Downloads:
App (15MB, 7z archive)
Cores (30MB, 7z archive)

The App lives in your Applications folder.

The Cores folder should be moved to:
Code:
~/Library/Application Support/OpenEmu/Cores

Feel free to mirror these downloads as my dropbox may go down.

ROMs not included!

Can you repack these files and reupload? I'm trying to uncompress both of these archives using Unarchiver, and it's throwing up all sorts of corruption errors with the archive. Thanks!
