Why do they keep the Spotlight Icon on the bar at the top of the screen if it's going to be centred? Or am I just stupid. :D

I'm not sure about the new OS X, all the areas of flat white just seem too harsh on my eyes. Then again I didn't like iOS 7 initially but I've grown to really like it.

I'm glad the 3D dock is gone, I never really cared for it.

I've been using the dock on the left hand side of the screen for so long now that I didn't even remember it was supposed to be 3D...

I do like the overall look of Yosemite!!

Yawn...

Not PowerPC related, but:

Here's my "Yosemite" desktop, actually its Linux Mint 13. Look, I too have a translucent dock (with Docky, had that for years). Grabbed the Yosemite picture today from somewhere. This laptop cost a mere 122 bucks four years ago, which works out to about 8 cents a day, so far.

Plays HD up to 1080p just fine, runs Office 2007 and PS3 in Wine, Windows XP and OS X Snow Leopard in Virtualbox (though admitedly it does not run Snow Leopard very well). Minitube and SMtube for watching Youtube outside a browser, Firefox 29, Chromium 34, Seamonkey, Opera, Maxthon round out the browsers. Skype and Dropbox, and XBMC. Rhythmbox, VLC 2.2 and Gnome mplayer, and of course the Libre Office suite.

I was a dyed in the wool mac cultist for 25 years, but...anymore Apple just seems like that embarassing rich Uncle with the Corvette, trying to impress..I dunno, somebody.

Yawn.

If it is indeed the iOS7 of Mac OS X, then that means I should definitely wait until the point-one update before allowing it anywhere near my computer?

I didnt like the stock dock on my MacBook that has 10.8 so I immediately went to get a DockDoctor and changed it and then it looks like 10.4

In my opinion the 2D dock looks more refined and calm. Also, black menubar options are great.

What spec is your laptop? Was it your intention to create a Mac like linux setup or is that just how it panned out?
