I actually hold the phone with my right hand. Even though I am left-handed in almost everything else I do, it just feels comfortable in my right hand compared to my left.

Isn't everyone a natural left with phones? I don't think I've ever seen someone talk using there right hand and ear, even on land lines.

I'm a lefty but this isn't an issue for me. When I'm on a call I hold the phone with fingertips on the sides and top. I don't palm it.

This. I'm right handed, but use all phones in my left hand for some reason. I don't use a kung fu grip unless it's a standard handset type of phone. I'm not having any issues so far although I'll admit that if I REALLY go out of my way to cover seams in odd ways and with abnormal amounts of pressure I can get the signal to drop (although haven't seen "no service" yet) in select areas I've been with the phone - namely my apartment. Everywhere else I've been I've had 5 bars even trying all sorts of ways to lose signal strength.

I couldn't speak to the durability of the glass as I tend to not drop my electronics devices.

I did hear that Apple's stance on yellowing was due to screen adhesive that was still in the curing phase after manufacture and actually disappears after the curing is complete. Don't know if this is really the case or not. My phone doesn't exhibit any yellowing.

I think a lot of the opposite comes from needing to be able to write and talk. If you hold the phone and write with the same hand, how would that work?

I'm a lefty, but my typical grip when I'm talking on the phone does not bridge the antennae. It's a little more annoying when I have the phone in the palm of my hand surfing or whatnot.

I'm in the July 14th shipment so I don't actually have mine yet and of course don't know if I will have a problem. I'm the same way though. I use my finger tips when holding it to talk but am more concerned with holding it in my palm for everything else. I plan on getting a bumper or some kind of case anyway.

I'm a lefty too (BTW lefties RULE! haha) I'm not to concerned as I tend to hold the phone in my right hand anyhow. Plus I usually use a bluetooth headset too.

I'm right handed, but I've noticed I mostly hold the phone in my left hand when making calls. I haven't really noticed the signal issue yet. One thing we're just going to have to do is adapt and learn how to hold it differently or use our right hand. Or just be a douchebag and wear a bluetooth all the time.

i'm also a righty, but i tend to hold my phone with my left hand. i haven't dropped a call yet...even though the signal strength does drop if i'm trying to reproduce it while looking at my phone.

I am left handed and so far no reception issues, if anything the reception on the iPhone 4 has been better than it was for the 3Gs.

Why don't you post this on a Verizon board instead of an Apple forum ?

I made much the same statement in another thread and was summarily told that they have as much right to "contribute" as the rest of us. What friggin' ever.

So, say we get an iPhone 4. It looks like we won't know if we have this problem until we get home, correct? I'd love to be able to just hand it back to them and say, "next box, please," until I get one that actually works.

I'm left-handed, but I use the phone in my right hand. Always have. Mostly because phone audio sounds better in my right ear than my left. Holding it in my right hand, there's no discernible effect on the phone's reception either while talking, or using the phone for any other purpose–and my palm touches the bottom of the phone, just not on the left side. So thankfully this isn't an issue for me, but I sympathize with those who do have issues with it.
